Have eaten in several other restaurants in the chain and have never been disappointed. Brought friends here, and they loved the salmon. We had the alder salmon and the crab crusted trout, and both were delicious. Service was attentive and the atmosphere typical for the chain. Good value.

For her birthday lunch my friend chose McGrath's saying they had excellent clam chowder and fish. This was my first visit and I was impressed with the lovely Northwest lodge architecture outside and the warm atmosphere inside. We were seated at a comfortable booth in a smaller dining room. A sign on the wall said, "Enjoy fish for the halibut."... More

My husband and I decided to eat at McGrath's during their lobster sale this week. He ordered the lobster, steak and shrimp special ($18.99 - $16.99 with an online coupon). I had the lobster (langostino) and shrimp alfredo. We shared a calamari appetizer. The calamari was excellent - light, hot and tender. My pasta was very good. At under $12.00,... More

We were in Federal Way for a couple of nights and saw that McGrath's was close by. We had heard of the restaurant and decided to look up the reviews. They were mixed but for the most part good. The food was good and so was the service. The portions were larger than we expected so we had to skip... More

I like McGrath's for the most part, but have had some not very tasty food there over the past few years too, so my review is maybe not quite A-OK, but better then Meh... Last night I had the coconut prawns, which I like. Unfortunately, they (like everyone else) leave the tails on, which truly does NOT make them taste... More

I travel a lot and thought this looked like a decent place for dinner as I usaaly prefer local or regional establishments over national chains. It was a Wednesday night about 7:00 and had a fair number of customers seated. I ordered a beer and went though the menu which surprised me by the many choices of appetizers. I ordered... More

The restaurant was almost deserted yet service was incredibly slow. The food was barely adequate. There's a Costco nearby. Go there for better, cheaper food.

We had a late lunch on a Sunday @ 3:00, and the place was dead. We thought awesome, since there was a 25 min wait across the street at Red Lobster. It was just the 4 of us. My husband & 2 kids. Age #3 & #4. We were seated right away. Got our drinks and there we waited and... More

Restaurant was clean and well kept. Ordered Wood Fired Halibut. Family member also ordered same. Waiter brought all meals at same time. I noticed that my Halibut looked dry and flat (much thinner) as compared to my family member, who had a halibut that looked thicker, more fresh. I have never eaten halibut before, so wasn't sure what to say... More
