Great lunch spot

Had a wonderful visit to the Yellow Church Cafe based upon a recommendation from our hotel. The Yellow Church Cafe is just a block off of main street in downtown Ellensburg. Fresh food, great service and wonderful ambiance are what you can expect from your visit here.

We were in town for one night and ate at the Yellow Church Cafe. The best decision we have made in quite awhile. The server was welcoming - the space was relaxing- and most importantly the food was exceptional. Steelhead salmon was incredible . Even the accompanying potatoes and artichoke hearts were prepared with an attention to detail and flavor.... More

We live in the Seattle area and have friends and relatives in eastern Washington and British Columbia, so we're passing by Ellensburg on I90 a few times a year. We always time each trip to have us in the Ellensburg area about the time we want to eat and we always eat at the Yellow Church. It's a cute place... More

The server was on top of our water and very attentive. The spicy shrimp sauce was amazing, the buffalo burger was decent (great bun), the pastrami sandwich was awesome and the black-eyed pea soup was pretty good. We looked to the giant board to try and find specials or a listing of the soup of the day, but the board... More

We enjoyed our meals. The reason we gave 4 instead of 5 is because the clam chowder was good but not great. The green curry was excellent. Two of us had the tuna which was excellent. My steelhead was outstanding. Others that night had problems with the service but ours was fine

Stopped on a Thursday evening. Was able to be seated right away without a reservation. Ordered a pasta dish and the cedar plank steelhead salmon. Both were fabulous!! Returned a couple of days later for breakfast. Again, the food was outstanding. I would have bought a jar of the jam that was served along with homemade biscuits had it been... More

Quaint old church setting with great food. The wagyu burger was excellent as well as the corn beef hash. It was the perfect travel stop on our drive across the state.

On the advice of a friend, four of us stopped in for lunch on our drive from Spokane to Seattle. The restaurant is small and uniquely decorated and the smells as we approached were delicious. Two had the Mac-n-cheese with a side Caesar salad, one had the quiche of the day (broccoli and cheese) with a garden salad and cheddar... More

We were friends who recommended this restaurant and it was very good. Everyone's lunches were fresh and presentation was so pretty. Very good clam chowder as the soup of the day, very good potato salad as a side for one friend, and my greek salad was very good, although could have used a little less dressing....it was a little too...
