Great food in an historic restaurant! Impressive menu with a variety of unique dishes. The grilled lettuce wedge salad was exceptional!

Possibly the nicest restaurant in Ellensburg. The menu is creative and focused, and the art deco theme carries through well. It's an older building, but clean and inviting. Two things really make The Valley stand out. For one, they have good chefs- not something you imagine in a small town. My favorite menu item is the crab, bacon, lettuce, tomato,... More

This used to be one of our favorite places to eat on our frequent trips between the tri-cities and Seattle, but our last visit there was really disappointing. For one the menu really hasn't changed in the last 10 years. I ordered my usual favorite, the Chicken Marsala, and it just did not have the usual care taken in preparation... More

On our way home from ski trip in Montana and decided to stop. The 4 of us were all delighted! Atmosphere was charming; service excellent; food delicious! I had the BEST pasta premevera I have ever had! I highly recommend. We will stop again when in the area.

My husband and I first stopped for dessert in this quaint diner. The dessert was fantastic, and we liked what we saw being served to the diners around us. So we went back the next night, and were thrilled with our meal. Delicious salads, bread with an interesting lemon herb oil dip, and amazing main courses. The portions were generous,... More

The Valley Cafe has been a great place for the many years we have been patrons. It's a small art deco cafe from the 1930's, it's comfortable, quiet, and has consistently good service and food. We had a delicious meal again over Labor Day weekend and will definitely return the next time we're in town.

One of our group had eaten here several times and recommended this cafe. It was late Monday evening and for some reason they were slammed - we almost left before the owner finally came to seat us. A fun small restaurant with great food. Several entrees were ordered and all spoke highly of what they had chosen. Would definitely stop... More

It has been years since we last stopped at the Valley Café for dinner. Not sure why, just didn't happen (OK it is 120 miles from home), but we did the other night. And are we glad we did. Starting with traditional Gazpacho (shared a bowl) - a little bit of spice - that was perfect on a day in... More

and drive into town. Restaurants along I-90 after perfectly acceptable BLTS and hamburgers but not much more. Valley Cafe is an attractive old-fashioned eating place with delicious food including homemade soups.
