Wow Sunday evening and a lot of places were closed but we lucked out and found this gem. We ordered a variety of different foods and found them all to be so much better than expected. The loaded potato soup and tomato basil bisque were both very good and the service was great to boot.

We've been stopping at the Valley for years and have never been disappointed. The service is neighborhood friendly and yet somehow sophisticated. The food though is what brings us back. I had a calamari appetizer. It was unbreaded and so tender it melted in my mouth, yet had a serious red sauce that did our red wine proud. And speaking... More

I've eaten at Valley Cafe a couple of dozen times. Nearly everything is very good. The Highlights: 1.) They have recently begun a happy hour from 4-6 with small plates, a great way to try a lot of their food and sample the quality level without spending much. 2.) The environment. Even if art deco isn't your thing (I'm pretty... More

I notice that the recent reviews are the most positive, so let me add mine. We were returning from a weekend of wine tasting and literally drove around Ellensburg looking for a dinner place. The variety of the menu drew us in, the beautifully preserved Art Deco decor charmed us, and everyone was very pleased with their choices: the BLTA... More

The chicken breast meal was so bland, dry, and tough, plus gave every indication that it was heated in a microwave, that I can hardly believe it was even served to us. The setting is wonderful and service a bit spotty, but the meal was a big disappointment. It was a boring experience from start to finish and I can't... More

We were taken by the historic furnishings and feel of the restaurant; very charming. We had to wait for longer than normal to be seated, though the place was empty. The server was distracted by a conversation with a friend instead of preparing a table. We finally walked to a table and from then on the service was fine. The... More

Beautiful food, wonderful service - one of our favorite restaurants in Washington State. Great steaks. Nice wine list.

I had an excellent turkey and cheese melt of some kind with a fine sharp swiss or maybe like swiss and it was Very good. There was enough for 2 people for sure and they dont mind if you share. The salad was very fresh too. The total bill was about 17 so sharing is good for students and such.Ellensburg... More

Poppyseed cake is special. Nice food. The restaurant is retro style. The salads are special. The service has usually been good. Friendly wait staff. We have eaten lunch and dinners a number of times at this establishment when we are in Ellensburg.

Love this place. All the sauces are homemade, the food Is cooked to order, and the menu has a great variety. They are historical and also just added a happy hour. I love that the owner has monthly features wineries. Highly recommend!!!!!!
