Great

The food was spot on, and the price was too. Nice place to eat in Ellensburg. And kid friendly as well.

Have eaten here for both lunch and dinner. The Peter Pig is my favorite sandwich on the menu for lunch (whole grain bread, herbed cream cheese, sprouts, bacon, lettuce, tomato) or you can get the Peter Rabbit without the bacon. Dinner options are different than regular boring fare (a little on the upscale side and priced as such) but worth... More

It is a grazing place nice atmosphere but the food is very pedestrian. I think the salads are the best way to go as they seem to be the most interesting. Staff is nice and if you are hungry it is okay

Why is this place not packed every night?!? It started out right by rediscovering a favorit wine - Kana 2009 Dark Star. They have a great wine list. Lots of locals. From there, prawn appetizer was just right (I hate overcooked prawns). My gorgonzola, apples and hazelnuts salad was nicely dressed and my husband's soup was delicious. Lastly, my 1/2... More

Traveled to Ellensburg again, and four of us had another great meal. We started with the bread, mozarella, tomato appetizer, enjoyed the Thai chicken soup, then different main courses, from their signature dish to steaks. Thursdays are Half priced night for bottles of international wines, which was really awesome, giving us a chance to try wines and even grape varietals... More

Reasonable wine prices, which is always a surprise. (Try the Rolf Riesling, which isn't on the wine menu), or the Thurston Wolfe or Milbrandt wines, which are always wonderful). Their Chimichurri sauce - wow! Pair it with a perfect steak, and there is one dinner winner. Their signature chicken dish is amazing. Their appetizer of crusty bread, fresh tomatoes (tasted... More

This is a quaint little bistro café. Some of the best seafood risotto I have ever had! I would put this little hidden gem cafe up against any restaurant in Seattle. Their food is fabulous!!! Loved the little private area in the back. Service was wonderful. How did I ever miss this place? I would drive over from the west... More

Haven't been here since '06 or so, food was good, service a bit frantic - but damned if the cook doesn't still pile kale & limp sweet potato fries on every plate!!! With all the yummy veggies out there, there is absolutely no excuse for the same old thing after all these years. AND they don't seem to have air... More

Let's just say that the food was fabulous, every plate was clean and there were 9 of us for my Mom's birthday. I arrived earlier and had dropped off a cake and candles and after dinner they brought it out, candles lit and all...it was a fun surprise and the staff did a great job accommodating all of us. The... More

I have never been disappointed with dinner at the Dakota. The menu is fairly short, but the food is excellent and inventively prepared. The chicken saltimbanco is terrific, the pulled pork on polenta is great (ask for extra chipotle sauce), and the spicy pasta is warm enough for my palate but not too hot for the faint-hearted. Breakfast and lunch... More
