Yummy burgers and great dessert

This place is so cool! Who doesn't want to eat in a railroad car? We shared the mushroom swiss burger and were very impressed, however portions were HUGE. Finished up with apple cobbler or something like that, also very good, however they were out of every other dessert so it was a good thing we... read more

What a rad idea.. it was so cute! We were just looking for something to eat on the way to our next stop on vacation and this was awesome! My boyfriend had a buffalo burger and I had an elk burger.. both tasted awesome, fresh and juicy. Fries were great, and the "famous" blackberry lemonade was perfection! We didn't try... More

We went Last saturday (8/22/2015). The place is nice for kids specially but we were disappointed by the poor service, the waitress looked In rush and didn't want wait for us To order. Also the food disappointed a lot. We have ordered: onion hamburguer, cheese hamburguer, with salad potatoes and fries. The Best of our lunch was the lemonade.

I'm sad to hear that your experience wasn't as good as it should have been, Shirley. Weekends are normally pretty busy for us, but that's no excuse for poor service and a disappointing meal. We'll definitely keep your feedback in mind. In the meantime, if you're ever in the area again, we'd love it if you gave us another chance!... More

The only good thing I can say is that eating in a railroad dining car was fun. The food was terrible. I had fried chicken, which was burnt and overcooked so it was very dry and inedible. Husband had a burger, also overcooked and tasteless. The biscuit was dy and crumbly, the corn on the cob was shriveled. I have... More

I understand that after hiking all the way up Mt. Rainier, all you want is a nice, warm meal, and it sounds like we dropped the ball there. Tasteless and overcooked is not how we want customers to think of our food, and I apologize that your meal was not as good as it should have been. We're always learning... More

We arrived around 1:20 pm, stood around for about 5 min, used the restoom, waited about 3 or 4 more minutes, finally a young lady says "I'll be right with you" waited another 5 minutes or so and a young man asked if we'd been helped, told him no he said he was going to go find us a table....the... Oh no! I'm deeply sorry that you never even got seated, Kelli. We're pretty busy during our lunch rush, but that's no excuse for slow service. It makes me sad to hear that you didn't even get to try any of our food. I would love it if you gave us another chance -- I'm positive that you won't be... More

We stopped at this restaurant on the way back from Mt Rainier National Park. Well put together menu for sure! Burgers and hand cut fries were great, very nice salads, and wonderful bloody marry. If your hungry, stop.

Ate here before going on a train ride on the Scenic Mt Rainier Railroad. Walked in and were seated promptly. Waitress was very friendly and they did have some great BlackBerry Lemonade. Ordered a bbq special, it was over cooked, over sauced. It was like chewing fat, or leather nothing in between. My friend had the same plate with corn... More

I have to say, this is pretty disappointing to read. Of course, I'm glad you enjoyed the train ride, but we work hard to feed all of our visitors, and I apologize that your food didn't live up to your expectations. We're always open to feedback in person, and we love helping our customers find out what they like before... More

Waitresses were pleasant and accommodating. Food was excellent! Served in old railroad cars that were updated, clean and attractive.

My husband and I went here for a drink and dinner after hiking. We sat at the bar in the Lounge and talked to Zachery, the bartender. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He made drinks to suit my husband which is sometimes a task. I had the barbequed chicken. I think it was half a chicken...too... More

Super cute old rail car converted into a restaurant. Lots of potential to be something great. Instead we got a poorly written menu that was SO overpriced. A $18.99 salad is crazy. So we opt'd for two lemonades and a warm biscuit w blackberry jelly and a ton of whipped cream they called "Blackberry Shortbread" total cost: $18.50. Wish I... More

I have to say, this is pretty disappointing to read. I apologize that the food was pricier than you thought, and I hope that you weren't too turned off by this one experience. If you're ever in town again, give us another chance! We'd love to show you an even better experience. Hope all is well, Elisa Fruzzetti - Owner More
