We decided to stop here for lunch, big mistake. My husband had the steak, worst ever. It came with fries and green beans. He did not even touch the green beans, they looked like they were 3 days old. The fried were home cut and were ok. I ordered the battered veal. It looked more like a small chicken fried... More

Went in and was seated. Waited for approx. 30 minutes and NO one attempted to serve us or even a simple. I'll be right with you. After watching a some flies buzz about we decided to leave.

Thirty minutes is way too long to wait, so I'm terribly sorry that we fell short. I'm going to speak to the entire team about this to ensure that instances like these are few and far between. Until then, thank you for bringing this to my attention. Best, Elisa Fruzzetti - Owner More

We visited for breakfast, 7 of us, for a friends birthday. We were greated by a very enthusiastic server with a welcome aboard! We had a variaty of meals; pancakes, omelets, hash browns and eggs all of which was delicious! We washed it down with fantastic bloody marys! I am a server my self and i was most impressed with... We can't think of a better way to start the day -- especially with spicy Bloody Marys! :) Thanks for the kind words, and for singing Pia's praises. Hope we'll get to see you soon! All the best, Elisa Fruzzetti - Owner More

We have stopped by many times over the years as we have travelled to Mt. Rainier or the little Elbe Church. Quite honestly experience can vary depending upon staffing etc. Have had a few experiences where it has been cold- food average etc. But this last one was much better- lovely waitress and Monte Cristo was terrific! Will try it... More

We passed it on our way to Mt Rainier, so decided to eat here on our way back. Fun atmosphere (eating inside an old train car), and the service was good also. We started with a blooming onion that was fantastic! That got us excited about our Elk Burgers. DO NOT order a game burger. It was terrible. The meat... More

That Blooming Onion really is a winner, so it's upsetting that you weren't as happy with the rest of your meal. Your Elk burger should have been perfectly seasoned and cooked as you ordered, Daniel, so I'll talk to our team to find out what went wrong. Do you remember your server's name, or when you stopped by? Hope to... More

We stopped here for lunch after a trip to Mt Rainier. As I walked in I picked up an "old engine" smell which didn't surprise me since it is an old railroad car! We were a party of 4 adults and an infant. We were placed in a small private dining room which was great for us but the carpet... More

We must have been "Smoking" one of our "famous smoke meats", we do all of our own in house smoking daily. The sandwich that your daughter had was our own "In House Slow Smoked Boneless Turkey." As for the carpet, we shampoo regularly and take great pride in cleaning. Of course, we'll certainly look into it to make sure that... More

The railroad dining cars were cool to see. It is a fun place to say you've been, but the service was slow, the food was priced slightly higher than expected, and the food was decent, but not the best.

We took our daughter and grandkids to eat at the MRRDC, and had a blast. The service staff made sure we had everything we needed, seated us in a private room, and participated in our silliness!
