Chanterelle's has kinda boring and tasteless food. I think it is a cute place but it is one of those kind of places that entices in the tourists and usually disappoints with average food and service and higher than average prices for the quality.

Think they need to get it together here. We took out of country friends for breakfast in Sept.and breakfast was not that good. The owner/host (assumed he was owner) was not very happy or pleasant. .. If crowded it is also very noisy. Hope they improve. Lots of competition around Edmonds. And more coming!

Friends from the area recommended and I as I had heard it had great food, I was excited about eating there. It was fine, but it wasn't the great dining experience I'd anticipated. Ambiance is quaint and I do like to patronize local restaurants. The waitress was friendly and service quick (it was nearly empty) but I wish she hadn't... More

This was recommended to us by a staff person at Rick Steve's before a presentation but for us it was an unfortunate experience. The wait staff was very pleasant but mixed up my husband's order. He must have waited 20 minutes for his meat loaf special to arrive. By that time I had almost finished my dinner. His meat loaf... More

We ate here last month for our anniversary, after remembering a great meal we had a year earlier. Sadly, the food was inedible this time. My salmon was as dry and overcooked as canned tuna. Whatever white fish my wife had was as bland as nursing home food. Their prices were too high for me not to warn other potential... More

I'm usually pretty good at judging restaurants/&/establishments of all kinds around the world, but I must say this was an exception. I had NOT read any reviews prior to my visit, so was not influenced either way. While I agree with others here, the restaurant is "Quaint" (which attracted me in the first place) it would be an exageration to... More

As recommended by the staff at the Rick Steves Travel Center just around the corner from this delightful little bistro/cafe. I had the tomato bisque and lox & bagels with all the fixin's -- hubby had the chicken, Brie and pineapple chutney panini. Super food, friendly service and next time we're in town we will definitely be back - hopefully... More

If you have never been here, the next time you are in Edmonds you must go. The French toast is to die for.I ate breakfast there again last week and everything was cooked perfectly. They have the best bacon I have ever had. They also have homemade tomato soup for lunch with grilled cheese sandwiches! I love the atmosphere. Service is... More

I've eaten in a lot of restaurants in my day. This is one of the best I've been in. The ambiance is wonderfully quaint and a little country. The view of the Puget Sound outside the door is fantastic, and sets the mood for a wonderful experience. Breakfast here is always a delight. We especially enjoyed the potatoes that came... More

My husband and I enjoyed two "early bird" dinners at Chanterelle last week ($11.99 each). He had chicken with artichoke hearts, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I had a white fish in a lemony sauce, roasted potatoes and asparagus. I started off with a nice house salad and he a cup of tomato bisque soup, plus nice bread and butter (complimentary).... More
