Good food, friendly service

We've had lunch at Chanterelle several times, and have enjoyed most of our choices. Their Panini sandwiches, cioppino, homemade tomato bisque, and salads are wonderful. Desserts vary, but are to die for. The only thing I didn't care for was their chicken, goat cheese, and mushroom pastry--not much seasoning and seemed a bit dry. Home made tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich to die for! 4 Different cheeses on a garlic bread toasted with a pickle! It is comfort food for the soul. It's like being a kid again in the most sophisticated way. The service is great as well. Still one of my favorite places to on a rainy day!

I had a long breakfast visit with a close friend, and decided to try Chanterelle for the first time. I can hardly wait to return for dinner! We happened at a rare time when there was no wait (it's very popular - now I know why.) Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Food choices were really interesting and varied. Food... More

Had dinner here after our Rick Steves Ireland tour reunion in 2012 - great laughs with 6 new friends - now friends for life. I had a pasta dish with sun dried tomatoes (sorry I forgot the name of the dish) it was delicious. Thanks for making a great day

It is a mainstay in town, but I don't go often. They do have a great tomatoe soup. Don't get steak or hamburgers. But service is fabulous and their desserts are good

Being gluten free, it's always a bit tricky trying to find a place to eat for my husband. We were delighted to enjoy delicious tomato bisque soup, asparagus lime soup, and portobello mushroom paninis, all gluten free! And a great dessert and coffee, too.

I enjoyed lunch here solo, and returned for dinner with a friend. Nice array of salads and sandwiches for lunch, but their tomato bisque, highly touted on the menu, is not to be missed. Best I ever ate! I even ordered it again when I returned for dinner the next day and recommended it to my companion. The salmon I... More

I often get the smoked salmon benedict and I love it. I guess since that is what I always get, I cannot comment too much on anything else. I love the atmosphere. It has a great neighborhood feel. It is very casual, but not frumpy or downscale. For the price it is hard to beat. The wine selection could be... More

We enjoyed the the soup and sandwich for lunch on a cold rainy Dec. morning shopping. Great location and great food.

Chanterelle's has kinda boring and tasteless food. I think it is a cute place but it is one of those kind of places that entices in the tourists and usually disappoints with average food and service and higher than average prices for the quality.
