Oh my...what can I say about this place??? The Piri Piri Shrimp...WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could eat that 5 times a week and never tire of it! The location was perfect - we arrived at the Blue Heron B&B and walked a block to have dinner at the West Sound - couldn't have been more perfectly timed if we had tried! :D... More

Wonderful view of Deer Harbor and good food. We had the fish and chips which was fried pankora battered wild pacific cod, slaw and fries with remoulade sauce. We split a lettuce wedge salad that had an excellent blue cheese dressing with bacon, tomato, and blue cheese crumbles. Two big pieces of fish and well plated. Service was good and... More

We were on Orcas Island in large part for the great scenery, and the Cafe deck was a good place to watch a couple of sailboats come in as we had dinner.

West Sound Cafe served excellent salmon and side dishes, nicely plated. Very efficient, timely service. We didn't have reservations, but I'm sure you'd need them in summer.

This is a lovely small restaurant with great food and a killer view. We especially enjoyed our fish tacos and fish & chips.

We arrived without reservations but politely agreed to wait the estimated 20 minutes or so for a table...no big deal. But when I asked if I could purchase a beer while waiting, I was rudely asked to to take a seat and told that nobody had time to help me. Hmm, it did look nice, and yes, they were busy... More

We had heard the fish tacos here were the best around. The fish tacos are deep fried and were slightly greasy. The potato side was good. The cheesecake and the wine (For a song) was the best part of our evening.

There are many places to eat on Orcas Island, we chose West Sound Cafe based on recommendation of family member who stayed at the B&B that is run by the same couple. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners! I had prawns with linguine and a tomato sauce. The sauce had a little “zip” and adhered nicely to the prawns and pasta.... More

My husband and I sat at the bar because they had a very busy night, the host greeted us with a smile. We shared a delicious bottle of wine and each ordered an entree, both of which were delicious. I loved sitting at the bar because it gave us a lot of insight as to how hard each person worked.... More
