We went to the Kitchen as it had received good reviews. The food was fresh but nothing special. The service was extremely slow and they had run out of several items by noon.

What a quaint, beautiful place. We ate under trees in the sunshine, consuming a wide variety of fresh, local, organic veggies. So good! My husband loved it too, which is saying a lot. He could eat pizza all day.

You'll love this place. Outdoor seating under trees, fresh fresh fresh vegetables - brown rice/kale dishes as well as traditional pot sticker, chix, fish items. Cute little bar next door as well. Lunch is a definate at The Kitchen.

The building is small, but the indoor and outdoor seating is sufficient. The menu runs to Asian dishes, rice or noodles prepared with fresh vegetables and eaten with chop sticks. Friendly and efficient service, and New Yorker magazines to read while you wait. An excellent value.

We'd had a full day and couldn't imagine sitting at a formal restaurant for several courses. The food and atmosphere at The Kitchen was perfect; a relaxed setting, choose your noodle, veggie, protein, sauce....ginger iced tea. A great way to end a busy day.

We knew that good fast food doesn't happen fast, and we were on island time so no hurry or worry about the wait. Our pirk and tofu wraps were excellent and worth the 30 minute wait in the shaded iconic area. Don't go expecting city fast food, relax and enjoy the island and it's excellent food options.

As we walked up to the patio after 7 pm on a Tuesday we saw how many tables were waiting for food, so we were not surprised to be told it would be 30-35 minutes. When hot and yummy potstickers appeared after 15 minutes, we were encouraged. Then things went downhill. Young kid near us got the wrong sauce on... More

If it is a nice day you will enjoy eating in the outdoor yard. Otherwise, there is not much in the way of indoor seating. We have been here on a cool windy day and it was not too fun. But sunny days, its a great choice. The line is often long and the service a bit slow due to... More

I was on Orcas Island for business and found this little place within walking distance from my meeting. My husband and I ordered two Student Specials, one with brown rice and the other with rice noodles. We chose the coconut curry sauce, and ordered a mango/mint iced tea and water. When I asked for ice to add to the warm... More

I think our experience would have been even better if we had eaten in rather than walked our food home, but even then, the salad was fresh and a delicious combination of herbs, greens and dressing. Hubby's pork wrap and yam fries were very tasty indeed. Good stuff!
