We had the pleasure of returning to Ship Bay for another outstanding evening. Each dish was beautifully presented and sourced from the local islands bounty, some from the restaurant's farm. The charcuterie sampler was memorable as was the house made butternut squash ravioli. Attentive service in a lovely atmosphere, made this a 5 star experience.

My wife & I celebrated our wedding anniversary at this this cozy island inn. The ambiance was casual yet the service was first rate. Our dinner was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Having gluten free options are important to us and staff was very accommodating. We highly recommend The Inn at Ship Bay.

Upon arrival the staff is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. The wait staff is proud of what they are serving- fresh local ingredients, prepared exceptionally well. Starting with the delicious pork belly with apple salad and apple syrup, which was absolutely divine, my husband followed with the scallops, and I had probably the best piece of Halibut ever.... The food steals the show. You can tell the chefs cook with passion. Amazing that you can have a dining experience out in the middle of nowhere. Service was charming and helpful. I would totally go back.

What can we say? We were told it was the best restaurant on Orcas and it didn’t disappoint. The selection was excellent and the food was interesting and delicious. There are limited tables with water views but the interior has a cozy, living room feel. There is a patio for ocean-view dining when weather permits. I can’t say service was... More

After trying five restaurants at Orcas Island – all of them good – Inn at Ship Bay gets 100% of our first-place votes. Everything we ordered showed a thoughtful, creative preparation and presentation using fresh, local ingredients (many from the restaurant’s own garden/orchard) and a wonderful combination of flavors. I ordered what I thought would be a simple dish (chicken),... More

There was an apple theme to the menu which was delightful. We had the parsnip/ pear soup and you could taste the cidar vinegar...delicious! Also outstanding was the local spinach salad and the black cod.

We had a very enjoyable evening, the food was very good and the service was excellent. We are used to good food and the bouillabaisse was a nice localized dish. But we found the service, for a restaurant in such a distant locality, to be first rate. Delivery of the dishes to the table was timed perfectly, each one arriving... More

Have been eating at Ship Bay for years, and it's definitely had its ups and downs. It's having an up. Such fresh ingredients, so many of which are locally based, and a great atmosphere. I love eating in the bar and sipping delicious cocktails - again, some mixed with locally infused liqueurs. My current favorite is the mamacita margarita -... More
