We had our last meal on Orcas Island at the Inn at Ship Bay. It was an excellent experience, great food, excellent service, wonderful view, and reasonably priced.

We had an anniversary dinner here and found all the wonderful reviews to be completely accurate. I had scallops and my husband had the steak entree. Both were excellent and beautifully presented. The rabbit liver appetizer special was also excellent. The next day we were talking to a 21 year island resident at the Deer Harbor marina and he told... More

We had a very nice dinner experience here. We had reservations and arrived on time, but they were a little behind so we spent some time in the bar (which was fine with us). After a couple of drinks and a nice conversation with the bartender, we were seated for dinner. My friend had the pork, and I ordered the... More

Every course was innovative, appeared to use the freshest ingredients, and was just plain delicious. The wine list was complete with out being over-powering, and the prices were reasonable. The view and ambiance if the weather permits sitting outside is just fantastic. We were lucky enough to have great weather and hence sat outside. It is like sitting in a... More

This restaurant was recommended by a relative who lives and works on Orcas Island -- they claimed it was the best place on the Island for quality food, and after having dinner there recently with them and some friends, I believe they are probably right. I shared the raw oyster plate with another person in our group, and they were... More

This was the best dining experience of my life. Bold statement, but well deserved. The menu is filled with local ingredients, from right on the island. Fresh, beautifully presented; the food was a work of art and delicious. Our waitress was pushing a sorbet that didn't sound great. We opted for something else and she brought that AND the wild... Wonderful meal, nice selection and all served with local vegetables and fruits. I had the scallops tender and cooked to perfection served over a bed of polenta my husband had the Alaskan Salmon which he said was delicious. We aren't desert eaters so instead enjoyed a glass of 20 yr old tawny port. Our server was excellent watched the table... More

We had dinner here on our anniversary and were very pleased. The food, location and staff were all wonderful. The view was beautiful, the Judd Cove oysters were as good as any I've had, and the rabbit loin appetizer was scrumptious. We arrived an hour early for our reservation (our fault) and they very graciously found a table for us... More

For a special meal on Orcas Island, don't miss the Inn at Ship Bay. Best salad I've ever had, with apricot, kale and cherries. Lots of local ingredients (especially wonderful fruits in July). We sat outside with an incredible view of pink-tinged clouds. Service had a few hiccups, but so friendly and helpful that we overlooked them.

To have a meal with a lovely water view. Good seafood. Clams with cream fraiche and curry were amazing. Good halibut. Nice salads.
