mediocre food for lunch included old "dead" slaw to complement a poor, but expensive sandwich. Also very slow service, and a snippy owner/manager who couldn't be bothered to tell our waitperson what the lunch specials were, 25 minutes after lunch had started, because she hadn't decided...

Creative breakfasts and quite tasty. Go early and avoid the crowds. Sit outside when it's nice. Great bacon!

Mia's is a great Italian restaurant with a varied menu and full bar. I had the fish and chips, it was outstanding! Although not a salmon eater, the dish we saw it looked fabulous. Great view of the sound while dining. Staff was friendly and service was great.

It was all good. The butternut squash soup was great, as were the gnocchi. The service was especially friendly and excellent.

The lemon blintzes with blueberry compote were light and not too sweet. Jasmine, our waitress, was helpful and friendly.

This is a lovely restaurant with art on the walls, very pleasant staff, and what I call creative comfort food. Everything was delicious. The bathroom is a little walk away, but that turns out to be an Orcas Island thing--a lot of places have a bathroom "around the corner, outside."

Ingredients are fresh and tasty. No canned stuff or preservatives. The biscuits and gravy are DELuxe yummy! Fresh homemade biscuits AND house gravy. The coffee is good. Come early for the blueberry lemon blitzes. They go fast. There is always soup made from scratch for lunch and beautiful salad. The crowd is overwhelmingly local and regular. Great place to sit... We have eaten breakfast here several times. Food is very good, but smaller portions unfortunately. Not very hearty when you have a long physically demanding day ahead on the trails. The coffee is awesome, but everytime we have been here, we have to practically chase the waitress down to get a 2nd cup, which at $3ish a cup, is not... More

We had breakfast here for 3 mornings and each day it was delicious and served well. The cook and waitress were friendly and easily joked with us. We felt we got a local friendly welcome from the local people and had some fun conversations. I would go again.

This lovely little cafe features cozy seating, sunwashed rooms and a few outside tables on the deck. You can sit at the bar as well. The menu ranges from sandwiches to soups to salads with a nice selection of wine. The ingredients all seem to be fresh and cooked to order, served up quickly with friendly banter from the staff....
