The smell of fresh bread was enough to bring you into this lovely cafe....had a wonderful and very tasty salad of fresh beets and organic aragula...just yummy,,,the French ham with gruyere on French baguette reminded me of being in France.. Nice selection of wines, and some of the pizza's looked very interesting. Service was slow but very friendly and pleasant.

I could have ordered and eaten everything on the menu. Had to choose so we went with splitting the LOCAL mussels for lunch--plenty for two with bread for dipping. Mussels were very tender. We'll go back and try thin crust pizza, and save room for dessert. Bought chocolate croissants for breakfast in bakery.

How amazingly lucky is the small community of Orcas Island that this chef and his wife decided to call it home and open this wonderful cafe with adjoining gourmet shop! The cuisine is American with influences from southern France, a place I'm told the chef travels to every year. But if you didn't hear that from me, you'd quickly guess,... More

Best bread in Eastsound - Truth. Never burned. Perfect texture from the Hearth loaves to the baguettes. Also, the cheese case is kept at an appropriate temperature, so eat that brie soon after you buy it, because it is just barely on the solid side when cut.

Really great specialty food. You might not expect this on an island in the San Juan's, but don't pass this one up. Great food, many organic and vegan options. Try the soups. Try the pizzas. Best food we've had on a vacation.

I love the friendly service, the bakery, and the fact that the food is organic, free range, and mostly local grown. If you appreciate crème fraiche, remoulade, dandelion greens, porchetto, and Delice de Bourgogne, this is your place. If you want a burger and fries you will be disappointed. Understand that gourmet dining does not come cheap. A glass of... More

Rose's is top flight-locally sourced, often organic, and beautifully prepared. This goes both for the restaurant and the adjacent bakery. Lunch will set you back a pretty penny, and you may not mind. I suggest breakfast, though, which is in the French style and is always excellent, while also being reasonable..

We have been to Roses several times for friends birthdays, or just a good lunch out. My husband & I love it as well. The pizzas are wonderful, and the salads are wonderfully full of local organic lettuces, vegetables, and cheeses.

A spot not to miss - gourmet and light. Thin crust pizzas with a variety of tastes. In town and convenient.
