Great spot for lunch on the island.

My family and I actually had a hard time finding a good spot for lunch in Eastsound. One restaurant didn't want to seat such a big group (there were 9 of us, 3 of which were children). Another cafe that was recommended was closed. The third option didn't allow people under 21. We were hot, tired... read more

You know the food is a priority when there is an open kitchen as the main attraction in the restaurant. The food was creative and prepared with care and attention. They have a good wine selection and an adjoining gift and wine shop. This is not inexpensive, but worth the price. We went twice for lunch and breakfast and will... More

While I understand some of the negative reviews here... I can only offer my own experience. Roses was fantastic. We walked in the door and were immersed in the most wonderful smells from the bakery and the kitchen. Our server was so friendly and all the staff seemed very welcoming and relaxed. Yes...the prices were a bit higher than some... More

We love the olive bread, monkey bread and other baked goods. The bakery is attached to the restaurant which was also excellent.

We ate here by mistake. I had forgotten the name of the bakery where we had planned on having lunch (Brown Bear Baking) and when we asked a shop owner where the bakery/restaurant was, she directed us to Rose's. So instead of a friendly little bakery with great food, we were transported to an expensive, pretentious, yuppie pizzeria that has... More

Although Rose's has always had a great reputation, I will no longer go there. I don't like paying top dollar for a mediocre food.

We went here when Island Skillet was closed for maintenance. I have to agree with what someone else said earlier about this place - a little pricey and slow on service but the food was decent. It was a little pretentious with everything made with "free-range" eggs. While we were adults, this is not a place to bring kids who... More

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch here, sitting at the counter and watching the kitchen and wait staff bustle around; this place functions like a well-oiled machine, meals are served quickly and prepared from scratch. The soups are terrific, the sandwiches are made from bread baked in their bakery which shares the building, and the meals are well above average. We... More

Just a short drive from the Ferry Landing, Roses Bakery features yummy pizzas and salads and some great seafood entrees.
