Best Hashbrowns !!!

It was breakfast, we were hungry. We were headed to another place a stranger on the street had recommended when we saw The Island Skillet. It was closer (by a few steps) and like I said, we were hungry, so steps mattered. Ordered the regular breakfast fare, hoping that I would not be served... read more

It was breakfast, we were hungry. We were headed to another place a stranger on the street had recommended when we saw The Island Skillet. It was closer (by a few steps) and like I said, we were hungry, so steps mattered. Ordered the regular breakfast fare, hoping that I would not be served those gray, wimpy restaurant hash browns... We've eaten here several times. Don't let the shabby exterior turn you away. Nice wooden interior, roomy seating, big menu, delicious foods, friendly and courteous staff, and great prices. A popular place! So glad they include breakfast items on the lunch menu!

There are not too many breakfast options on the Island. Based on so many positive reviews we decided to give it a go. We arrived about 8:30 am on a Saturday, had no problem getting a table. After we were seated, it took forever for them to take our order and for our food to arrive. Our waiter was definitely... More

You can usually tell where a great place to eat is when you see a line out the door, and when you see it for breakfast you know you have to be in for a treat. We ate at the Island Skillet on both of our trips to Orca Island, Washington; the first time we stumbled on to it, this... More

We ate breakfast here twice. Both times the service was friendly and inviting. The food was rich and delicious. There seemed to be an equal mix of locals and travelers. Very accommodating. Open for breakfast and lunch only. Be sure you try one of the many varieties of omelette.

My wife and I stopped in for supper on Valentine's Day with another couple while on Orcas Island. We had intended to eat at another restaurant, but they were booked up. This place obviously has very good TA reviews, so what could go wrong? The decor is plain -- no frills diner. The server was pleasant but scarce. Other than... More

I stopped here with a dear friend who lives on the island- we arrived around 9 which seems like a good breakfast time, however this place was busy! We did have to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, but what do you expect. The food was fantastic, however my coffee cup did run dry. It didn't seem that they... More

As a local, several trips here, each with differing results. The general feeling I get is due to the high turnover of staff, the level of training - if much - is such that not much prepares this place in how to handle large numbers. If you hit it at the right time, you walk in, are pleasantly greeted, seated... More

The review title says it all; if you go Eastsound you need to stop at Island Skillet and get a salmon omelet. It is delicious! We enjoyed it so much we went twice on this vacation and ate the same thing! Highly recommend to those traveling to this area. The staff recommended Island Hopping Brewery and climbing Mt. Constitution. Go... More

Pricey but pretty good. I had the two eggs and toast. They offer homefires, they were excellent. Omelet is the best value
