Great Burgers

What "The Lower" is known for is their great burgers; yet, a friend always has the crispy chicken salad and another chooses the Reuben sandwich, a third does the chicken strips and a fourth loves the patty melt. We all favor the coleslaw; though it is variable, it is always good on Sunday. Kyle is... read more

Supposedly the best burger and fries in town. They are very good, but I don't claim to have tried all offerings in town. Nice bar atmosphere and wait staff was friendly and prompt

Dry burgers. Thick soup made with things they're going to throw to the garbage. And the rudest waitress in the island. Don't go.

Good in Town Bar with very friendly service. Bar food competently prepared. We all had hamburgers and fries. Has beach feel as outdoor service includes picnic tables in sand.

Local bar with good burgers. The service is slow and marginally friendly, so it is not a good choice if you are on a schedule. Had the French dip for lunch and regretted the choice. It came with two thin slices of beef that would have been a good patch for a rubber boat. The cheese was extra making the... More

We always go for a football, or soccer game and enjoy a very good burger and excellent fries, the sweet potato waffle cuts are delicious! They also have decent salads if you want to eat on the lighter side and nice soup. Very friendly staff.

This is where the locals hang. I was there 4 times during my vacation, and each night was a friendly mix of younger people, middle agers, and old military veterans. There's indoor booths, a pool table, a patio, and a large sand-covered 'beach' area - with a smoking section that has patio tables and chairs. They stay open until things... More

We came through Orcas for a few days and visited the Lower Tavern twice. This is a fantastic dive bar. The people there are nice, they have a patio that's actually covered with sand, and they have a great and inexpensive beer list, including everything from local IPAs to tall-boy PBR and Rainiers. We saw a great bluegrass band there... More

Nice bar, friendly and efficient service, good food for lunch. We had burgers and fish and chips...both tasty and reasonably priced. Their beer and wine list is varied and affordable. I would have lunch here again.

Had dinner there. Typical bar food. A bit noisy, but nicely decorated. Service was great and food a good value for the money. Has the halibut and chips which was quite good. Not sure if it was fresh or frozen, but the onion rings were yummy!
