We went here for dinner and were really disappointed. The prices online were lower than they actually charge. The spinach salad was just a plate of dry spinach, almost no dressing and the waiter neglected to tell us that they were out of capicola which was the reason we ordered the salad. When we asked he said, oh we are... More

The food here was good when we stopped for lunch. Nice beer menu. As noted by many, he restaurant looks out on a gorgeous elevated view of the sound. Our service was a little in attentive despite the place not being too busy when we were there.

After our hike in Moran State Park, we took the bus to Eastsound. While not hungry, we wanted something light, and the Madrona 'hit the spot." They have a gorgeous setting on the water, a few tables outside, and lots of windows to give you the view. We weren't that hungry, so we ordered a BLT, which came with a... More

We actually ate there on 3 different occasions. The first time we lunched and had the grilled salmon, the steamed clams and a great Caesar Salad. All good choices. Our subsequent meals at the Madrona Grill were fine - not gourmet but nice. The actual servers were very friendly and helpful. However, the Hostess and the "helpers" provided poor service.... More

We visited after the lunch hour, but this place gets a lot of activity. Food is okay, not the best we are on the island, but it is okay. It has a great location...right on the water. The space is cramped. We sat at a table under the bar area and just seemed we were encroaching on the couple sitting... More

The location is very nice. The service lacked and the cocktails were horrible. My daughter ordered a cocktail and we were amazed on the poor quality. She then gave then a second chance and ordered a margarita, it was worse as it tasted like plain, low grade mix. Lucky for me I had a beer and we left. We didn't... More

A light red sauce, squid, shrimp, salmon, oysters, clams.... All my favorites in one dish. Delicious margaritas and a view to die for!

My travel partner and I stopped at Madrona following a three-hour hike up Turtleback. We were looking forward to our big meal of the day -- at 3:30 p.m., a late lunch/early dinner. The hostess seated us -- without a smile -- within a few minutes. While there were no tables available on the deck, she was able to seat... More

Our family of 6 attempted twice to eat at Madrona's late last week while visiting Orcas Island. We were there in the early afternoon, but what seemed like it should have been after the lunch rush. The first time we popped in we were completely ignored for several minutes. We took the time to look over the menu, but when... More

We had an early lunch here on Friday and the restaurant filled up quickly after we got there. It's obviously a popular place. Can't beat the view, right on the water. Our server was friendly and attentive. My husband raved about his halibut, even the next day. Would definitely eat here again.
