Great breakfast at a low price. A mom and pop store front without a view. Try it, you will love the food.

After one morning of our hotel's included continental breakfast, it was time to search for real food! Jack's is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant located in a strip mall, so don't expect anything fancy in terms of decor or atmosphere. Breakfast was typical fare; eggs cooked to order with choice of meat or their skillets, which were decent sized with plenty of... More

From previous reviews I had read, I expected a little more of this restaurant. I anticipated large portions, a homey atmosphere and lots of friends around tables. The latter part was right. There were lots of guys who knew each other, but there were also others blabbing loudly on their cell phones, acting like they were in a phone booth,... More

This little, narrow breakfast joint is one of my uncle's favorites in Des Moines. They know him by name and he doesn't even have to order, they just bring him his usual. Don't expect it to be fine dining-- it's what I lovingly call a "greasy spoon," though to be fair the spoons were clean, even if the table needed... More

This is a little place with a great menu. Everyone is very friendly, including your fellow customers. This is the kind of place where you can go in alone, but when you've finished eating, you've made at least one new acquaintance. It's good old fashioned home cooking.

I have gone here a few times thinking maybe it was just me. The food there is decent, always seems busy on the weekends. Staff wasn't overly friendly and the food isn't remarkable.

Came here based on tripadvisor reviews. The place is tucked in a strip mall and is decorated like a typical dive joint. The place wasn't busy for breakfast at noon...but I still had to ask for my coffee to be refilled. Orderex eggs over medium and got undercooked over easy...they were still tansluscent. I would have sent them back, but... More

Jack's is a great place in Des Moines for a good old fashioned breakfast. Not fancy just good old comfort food.

First time visiting and food was delicious and prices good. They quickly fixed a problem with my breakfast and waitresses were friendly. Would go again when visiting this area.

At this place, its all about the breakfast food! The prices are pretty great for what you get! I go here often cause the food is good and the prices are great! My only issue is that its a little dingy, and out dated and could really use a little/alot sprucing up. But I would still definitely recommend this restaurant!
