Hoping for More, Just Ok

Was recommended I go to Mckean's for burgers. Sadly disappointed in the fried mushrooms (mushy, not cooked long enough) & fries. Burgers were just okay. I did however love the wild cherry shake. Not a bad burger joint, but keep expectations low.

Nailbanger Here Again; We always are amazed when we see an establishment that is bullet proof and has survived since the 1950s,so we look for those kinds of places in lieu of the modern Chain places. Heres what we encountered. First its lunch time and we are the only people in the place the whole time we are there, First RED... More

Stopped here on the way back from the 'Hawks game. Passed BK, McDonalds & Subway just for a taste of some local burgers. BIG MISTAKE!! Ordered a deluxe cheeseburger with no bun. 3 bites later, my burger was gone. Seriously, $5 for that?! Friend ordered the specialty burger meal for nearly $10. Sloppy!!! Bread was saturated with some watery special... More

I don't normally write bad reviews because I usually go to places that have good reviews, but this time I didn't check first. The food is very mediocre and the burger is paper thin. I think they could bring up the quality and clean up the dining room. I have to say that my expectations were not that high and... More

Their sign reads, "Giant Burgers". NOT! Ordered 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 sodas, paid over 20 bucks for a meal that would have cost less and would have tasted better if I went to Burger King!

Stopped here on our way back from Sturgis. I had a Grilled chicken sandwich, which was actully fried on the flat top and potato salad. was alright and filled to tummy. Friends order was wrong but for as long as we waited he just ate it and left it at that. May try a different place next time we are... More

Mrs. McKean started this restaurant when she was young. She worked it everyday with home made slaw and potato salad. Her Burgers were gut busters and the fries fresh. Even when she was retired and had sold her restaurant at the age of 90 she still was making the potatoe salad on a daily basis at her home to be... More

Stopped here the other day with a friend on a trip. Was quite suprised to find that the place was empty should have been my first warning. Needless to say the place should be bulldozed and then burnt. Enough said
