Decent mexican food

Went w low expectations considering location: Cle Elum is not exactly a foodie mecca, and after seeing advert for jello-shots in window, but the food was pretty good! Salsa had more kick than what's typical (and that was nice).

This is a typical family Mexican restaurant with surprisingly good food. I wasn't expecting it to be as good, but it was pretty busy with the locals, so we gave it a try and were impressed. The wait staff were friendly, but service wasn't anything to write home about. However, it was good enough considering the meal was delicious. I... More

I love Mexican food and the hospitality is excellent here. Unfortunately it seems as if no matter what you order it all looks and tastes the same. Good margaritas!

The restaurant was packed with locals on a Saturday night, including families, which is nice. The food was good and the Sangria even better!

Excellent Salsa and Chips! My husband rates their enchiladas as "the best in the state"! Daughter ordered a chimichanga which was not flavorful enough for her. Not a great place for families -- more of a bar-type atmosphere.

I enjoy a good taco salad. I like going to Mexican restaurants for the chips and salsa. Mostly, I go to a restaurant for good service. I found none of these during my stop at El Caporal for lunch. The chips and salsa were just fair. The taco salad was not good at all even though before ordering I asked... More

Atmosphere was fun, server was great, but food was just average. Easily accessible right on main street.

Stoppped at El Caporal as I passed through the area on a business trip. Not looking for a great meal; just lunch so I could get back on the road. Glad I stopped at El Caporal because the food was quite good and the staff was great. They treat you like a guest at their home. I ordered the Chile... More
