I have been here since Nancy open the doors, she is no longer with us, but I understand one of the cook took over and it has to be the best meal in Chinese you are going to eat and can cost less than a Casino buffet, with all their casseroles, Golden Star is flavor town 101, I ordered the... More

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was in high school. It fills me with a lot of nostalgia, remembering fun times shared here with family and friends. I understand that they have undergone new ownership over the years, but the restaurant has stayed much the same. Like any place, you find yourself ordering the same tried and... More

Yes, you can find swankier decor but you can't find a nicer, friendlier and more competent group of people running a restaurant with consistent results. During the five years I lived here, it didn't take long for the servers to discover I was as predictable as grey skies in winter. A nod and a smile and my order was in... More

We like the cantonese style of Chinese food. They do a decent job but sometimes the food tastes like the just reheated it from the night before. The place is a little outdated and run down.

The food is excellent, you must try the butter garlic chicken, it's great and the fried rice is the best I've ever had. I recommend the family dinner A, and if by chance your in to spirits and your not carfull the cocktails will have you crawling out.

We eat out at least once a day and were very disappointed in the Chinese food in Kitsap Co., until the manager of another restaurant told us about the Golden Star. What a life saver. The food is always delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced. The War Wanton Soup is a clear broth with a variety of veggies, shrimp, chicken, barb'qued... More

I eat out more than any person should so I have eaten at every resteraunt in this area, most on more than ten occasions and the Golden Star is by far the tastiest Chinese I have had. The only thing better was the Golden Star of the 70's and 80's. If cocktails tickle your fancy hit up the Star Room... More
