Great food and a gorgeous view!

We have been here several times over the years and are never disappointed. The food, the service and the ambiance are all top quality. With tables set with white tablecloths, good silverware and dishes, it is a hint of good things to come and they do. We stopped by for lunch last week on our way... read more

Three of us came for dinner on a splendid May evening, an annual birthday ritual. The view was spectacular, the service good in this intimate restaurant hanging on the cliff side on the Pacific ocean. Unable to verify the availability of a very long wine list, almost a small book, we settled for very good Washington state white wines. Salads... More

For an appetizer we had the Denman oysters and Fumamoto oysters on the half shell and an order of baked oysters. As entrees, my wife had the Alaskan Salmon and I had the filet medallions with Maine lobster tail. Both dinners were magnificent. Prepared to order and excellent taste.

We stopped in on a Sunny Thursday afternoon. Four of us had a late lunch. Our server Mark was amazing. He had a very good sense of the specials and all their ingredients. His descriptions encouraged us to the appetizers. The oysters were delicious, cold and sweet. The heirloom tomato salad with crab was refreshing and just the right size... More

The oysters come from the bottom of the hill. And are expertly prepared. Great wine list. Terrific view of the Sound. Nice place to end the day exploring Skagit Valley.

My brother had driven past this restaurant over the years but never stopped... we all went down to Washington from BC on a whim and stopped for lunch on a Sunday. Even though we didn't have reservations (the place was packed), they managed to find us a seat with a view. I tried the fish tacos and they were excellent.... More

We were seated at a table with a great view of the Sound, overlooking the bay where oysters are harvested; in fact we could observe an oyster trawler at work. The restaurant is in a beautiful old building, with wood paneling, a spiral staircase and picture windows. There is a wonderful selection of oysters, not inexpensive at $3 to $4... More

I've eaten at this beautiful spot quite a few times in the past decade, but it seems a bit pretentious and overpriced to me now. Sure, the oysters are excellent (can't get much fresher, Taylor's Shellfish right close); prawns a bit overcooked, but something about the atmosphere the past two visits has bothered me and my companions from the moment... Have wanted to try this for years and just never got around to it until yesterday. I wish we had done this years ago. We arrived about 330 for a late lunch and the place was still 3/4 full. Despite it's tiny size (maybe 15 tables) we got a table right away and I must say i don't think there... More
