Seriously. Skip whatever you have to, and eat here.

Get off the interstate and find your way to the Oyster Bar. Having made your reservation in advance, excellence awaits you. Only a couple of nit-picky items geek me from giving this a 5, and had nothing to do with the food.

We were taking a leisurely tour along Chuckunut Drive and happened along Oyster Bar. It is a great seafood restaurant with amazing indoor and patio views of the bay. Warm, friendly service along with a great menu and decent wine list. Great spot to stop.

Love the view and we were lucky to get a table on the deck with no reservation, oysters were the best I ever had, Kumamoto were my favorite. Seafood Bouillabaisse was ok. Good service. If you have a choice go for lunch instead of dinner and save some money.

Imagine the best and broadest selection of fresh oysters, served in a treehouse, overlooking the Puget Sound, with wine and service beyond compare... Is it a fantasy, NO, it's for real. Halfway down Chuckanut Drive between Bellingham and Bow Washington, along the cliff hugging road you can find absolute oyster-bliss at the "Oyster Bar" it's name is so simple for... More

The Oyster Bar is a great little spot. It is out of the way but if you have a designated driver, well worth the trip. The decor is a bit basic and rustic but everything else is first rate. The view is amazing. Food is terrific and servers are very knowledgable about the menu. Fresh shellfish are fabulous, especially the... More

Terrific view, great service, delicious food. What more could you ask for? I've been there twice, and I was very pleased both times. The salmon chowder is to die for!

We have been here several times over the years and are never disappointed. The food, the service and the ambiance are all top quality. With tables set with white tablecloths, good silverware and dishes, it is a hint of good things to come and they do. We stopped by for lunch last week on our way to Whidbey Island for... More

Three of us came for dinner on a splendid May evening, an annual birthday ritual. The view was spectacular, the service good in this intimate restaurant hanging on the cliff side on the Pacific ocean. Unable to verify the availability of a very long wine list, almost a small book, we settled for very good Washington state white wines. Salads... More

For an appetizer we had the Denman oysters and Fumamoto oysters on the half shell and an order of baked oysters. As entrees, my wife had the Alaskan Salmon and I had the filet medallions with Maine lobster tail. Both dinners were magnificent. Prepared to order and excellent taste.

We stopped in on a Sunny Thursday afternoon. Four of us had a late lunch. Our server Mark was amazing. He had a very good sense of the specials and all their ingredients. His descriptions encouraged us to the appetizers. The oysters were delicious, cold and sweet. The heirloom tomato salad with crab was refreshing and just the right size... More
