Great food

The view is amazing; the service impecable. The food is delicious. We Have been here many times never had a bad time. The food is so good it is art not only to eat but to look at.

The oysters come from the bottom of the hill. And are expertly prepared. Great wine list. Terrific view of the Sound. Nice place to end the day exploring Skagit Valley.

My brother had driven past this restaurant over the years but never stopped... we all went down to Washington from BC on a whim and stopped for lunch on a Sunday. Even though we didn't have reservations (the place was packed), they managed to find us a seat with a view. I tried the fish tacos and they were excellent.... More

We were seated at a table with a great view of the Sound, overlooking the bay where oysters are harvested; in fact we could observe an oyster trawler at work. The restaurant is in a beautiful old building, with wood paneling, a spiral staircase and picture windows. There is a wonderful selection of oysters, not inexpensive at $3 to $4... More

I've eaten at this beautiful spot quite a few times in the past decade, but it seems a bit pretentious and overpriced to me now. Sure, the oysters are excellent (can't get much fresher, Taylor's Shellfish right close); prawns a bit overcooked, but something about the atmosphere the past two visits has bothered me and my companions from the moment... Have wanted to try this for years and just never got around to it until yesterday. I wish we had done this years ago. We arrived about 330 for a late lunch and the place was still 3/4 full. Despite it's tiny size (maybe 15 tables) we got a table right away and I must say i don't think there... More

Gorgeous view, gorgeous drive down from Bellingham and GORGEOUS food. We nibbled on appetisers and white wine. So good. The steamed mussels were perfect and the broth was exquisite. The calamari was beautifully tender and the aleoli was lovely. Excellent service lovely afternoon.

I had read amazing reviews about the Oyster Bar and was really looking forward to our Sunday lunch there. My husband really loves raw oysters so he was very excited. View was good of the water peaking through tall pines growing on the steep slope below the restaurant. But I don't think the view justified the steep prices. Each raw... More

We came here for a birthday lunch, thus had to take the weather as it presented itself: rainy and misty, but it added a bit of special atmosphere to the view over Samish Bay and the nearby islands. We will definitely return another day when the weather shows its best side and the view is clear. The restaurant has a... More

An overall nice experience. Food was delicious. My steak and lobster tail was great , the chimichurri sauce was almost perfect ( as I think I make the best chimichurri in the world I really like this one) My guest meal was the beef tenderloins 2 oz medallions and shrimp combo ; the taste was good however the size was...
