Had the chance to eat here and it was delicious! My favorite thing by far was the Gravlax. It was melt in your mouth salmon with the perfect amount of bite in the goat cheese. I keep thinking about it and wishing I was there to have another order of it. All of us enjoyed our lunches immensely and the... More

First time visiting this restaurant on the scenic Chuckanut drive and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent with unexpected extras that reflect the skill of the chefs- rhubarb and strawberry sorbet with sparkling wine as a pallet cleanser, a fully risen individual mini soufflé with the main course. Crab stack, trout and pavlova were perfectly prepared and all... More

We had just finished a week long Disney Cruise in Alaska, and we were driving back to Seattle for our flight home. We had just eaten so much wonderful (and plentiful!) food over the week, my boys & I agreed we weren't eating for the next week...until we stopped into The Oyster Bar. It is fairly unassuming from the outside,... More

We had heard about the Oyster Bar for years, but never went there because we were intimidated by the prices and because I'm not overly fond of seafood. Last week had house guests who wanted to treat us to "something special," so we had dinner at the Oyster Bar. What a treat! It was late afternoon on what had been... More

I enjoy the view as much as the service and their food quality. We usually go there for special occasions from birthdays, anniversaries, or Christmas time. Worth the drive on the winding old hwy 99.

We have passed by a number of times and were so glad we stopped in. My husband really enjoyed his fried oysters and my scallops and prawns were really good. We enjoyed dessert too, my key lime pie was really good and my husband enjoyed his trifle. The view of the oyster beds was very interesting too.

We went to the Oyster Bar to celebrate a special birthday, and were delighted with our choice. Our appetizer were the scallops, the soup was halibut chowder, and the main attraction was Copper River salmon. Each course was served with a smile, and our questions were answered by John - about the food, the history of the restaurant, and the... More

Located a mile from Taylor Shellfish Farms this restaurant featured at least six varieties of fresh oysters. Wonderful appetizer when we sampled two local types. Service was very good in this dressy seafood specialty restaurant, a wide variety of courses on the menu at lunch and all were attractively prepared and served. We had a really good artichoke and nettle... More

Two years ago, I reviewed the restaurant and expressed a desire to return: we were not disappointed. We knew the view of Samish Bay was spectacular. But we were also able to enjoy six different varieties of extraordinarily delicious local oysters. Yes, the service was good and the wine selections were interesting. But you should come here for the oysters... More

My wife and I have been here many times since our first visit in 2005 and have always been impressed with their outstanding food and service. Please leave your children home and don't waste your time if you're in a hurry. Just make a reservation, relax and enjoy.
