On the expensive side , but good food and nice view

It's located on Chuckanut Drive which itself represents a nice, spectacular drive. Good food , not cheap, nice views of the bay and the oyster beds ( at low tide ). Two levels and different height sitting for everybody to enjoy the view. I am not sure but I think no kids 1-2 years are allowed... read more

We have visited this restaurant on our way to Taylor's Oyster Farm. The prices are not cheap, but the food is delicious. The deck offers good view and somewhat small. We found to feel very safe to spend time on the deck - it is built with quality and sturdy. The service was impeccable. Waitress was readily available - good... More

We have been to the Oyster Bar several times before but this visit was the best of all. It was our 12th Anniversary, hard a table by the window with an incredible view of the bay and San Juan Islands. The weather was beautiful so there was a great sunset. The food was exceptional. We split the seafood salad which... More

When driving from Anacortes to Bellingham via the Chuckanut trail, we saw the OysterBar and decided to stop for dinner.Bad choice! Food was only so-so, overpriced, and the place was not very clean. I got the impression they were ]not doing well and trying to hang on.We really regret wasting a meal there.

We stopped here for lunch a year or so ago on a day drive to Bellingham and we wanted to enjoy another meal. We were offered a nice table outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather and gorgeous views. If you've not seen a shellfish farm, there are several below in the Sound. A unique view. I've been craving fish tacos... More

Stopped at the Oyster Bar for a late lunch after a short hike at Teddy Bear Cove. It does not look impressive from the roadside, but inside it is nicely appointed and designed to give the maximum number of guests a view out the large windows looking through the trees and over the water. The view is excellent. There were... More

My wife and I took an out of town visitor here for the view and a nice meal. We had a window table with a fantastic view of the bay and oyster beds. Our waiter was attentive and very knowledgeable. The shrimp with linguine was fantastic, the fish and chips, very good and the special grilled albacore OK (a little... More

This is a wonderful place to enjoy lunch or dinner. We stopped for lunch and a wonderful meal. The oysters I had were fresh from the oyster farm directly below the restaurant and were excellent. My wife had the crab cakes and said they were also excellent. This place is pricey, but worth it if you like fresh shellfish.

We stop in here every opportunity we have when travelling the Chuckanut Drive. Great motorcycle ride and the food at the restaurant is always good. Vista views of the oyster beds and ocean. A must do in my mind

Have stopped at The Oyster Bar many times on our trips home. The food is always fresh, interesting and service excellent. For starters, local Totten Island Oysters and Puget Sound mussels and my wife had the seafood salad which is a full meal. The view at the end of the day with the sun peaking through the trees is most... More
