Happy Anniversary to us!

We are up here for our anniversary and saw the menu online. It did not disappoint. I had the steak and my husband had the king salmon special with some awesome berry cobbler for dessert.

As part of a day trip to Bow, my husband and I wanted to see what the Rhododendron Cafe was offering under its (relatively) new owners, so we went there for lunch. I opted for the panfried oysters with roasted potatoes and side salad from the "specials" board, while my husband chose the local, grass-fed beef hamburger with salad off... More

I have eaten at the Rhodadendron Cafe many times over the years, and the quality and quantity has declined a bit. Their menu is small. Their food is good but spendy for what you get. The service is great and it is a sweet little place. The desserts are yummy.

I reviewed this restaurant last year and gave it five stars. Even better this year. I had the chicken saltimbocca which was served with an extra cheesy polenta and green beans. My wife had duck breast served with a lovely spaetzle and some huckleberries. Shortbread with a pecan caramel topping for dessert. Fabulous. The decor is simple but honest and... More

This is a very nice place, that you find in the country, but easy to get to. Taste the local crops and quaint setting. Great wine list to go with your meal.

Stopped in here during an afternoon of bird watching. In fact, saw two eagles right across the road from the place. The time was 11:30, so we had a choice of breakfast or lunch. My husband chose the biscuits and gravy. What a surprise to see and smell it when it was delivered. The saffron colored it and made for... More

Food prepared with a professional flare. Jim Kowalski is a trained chef and knows what he is doing in the kitchen. The Salmon, pan seared with tequila lime sauce was excellent last night.

We drove down Chuckanut Drive on a beautiful summer evening tonight. We passed the restaurants with a very bright sunny view toward the west, but with food as the secondary feature. . We headed to the Rhodendron Cafe in Edison at the south end of the drive. Here we came for the food. Excellent pan fried oysters from up the... More

Hadn't gone to this cafe in more than a decade, but decided to try it today. New owners took over about a year ago. The meal was a delight! Perfectly cooked duck breast with what looked like fresh Washington cherries, plus sauteed spatzle! Yummy! My partner was very happy with his fried oysters. We split a dessert of fresh cherry... A gem! I love these little roadside places off the beaten track. Definitely worth stopping here for a bite. The food was delicious, the service friendly. It was the perfect place to eat after enjoying a drive on Chuckanut.
