Nice and cozy place, food is seriously delicious

Had a large business dinner (14 people). The restaurant does not show off and looks very informal. The food and the chef are top-notch. Very friendly service. We spent a good 2 hours amazed by all the food we got - the coconut milk soup is an absolute must!

Two of us had dinner at the "Rhody" on a Sunday evening about 6:00. The restaurant was fairly crowded with only about four tables open. That night service was slow and once we ordered it took about half an hour. I ordered a hamburger medium and my friend ordered salmon. The salmon was over cooked and the hamburger was rare.... More

My history with the Rhody spans 30 years and more. Friends, family and best of all, a special occasion with the apple of my eye. For years the previous owners made us feel at home. When they retired, they left their creation in good hands. The energy and the extraordinary meals remain as good as can be found in Skagit... More

My friend and I stopped here for lunch and were really impressed. All the wonderful reviews are true. It is pricy so I wanted to try less expensive lunch first. I look forward to coming here for dinner now. Definitely worth the drive up here!

Senegalese peanut chicken soup. Loved it! And you will too. We looked at the dinner menu and couldn't decide just what to settle on, when we saw some very large steaming bowls of "something" being delivered to a table nearby. When we asked the waitress what it was, she told us it was the Senegalese soup, and that they usually... More

We always make it a point to eat at this place when we are in the Mt. Vernon/ La Connor area. My husband who is French loves their Senegalese Peanut soap! I had the homemade gnocchi and chantrel sauce. So, so good! They don't have a kids menu but they accommodated ours with scrambled eggs for one and roasted chicken... More

While the official name may well be "Rhododendron" - this sweet small café/restaurant deserves its affectionate "Rhody Café," calling. And that's the name painted on the sign, after all. We made the drive down Chuckanut Drive just to go to lunch here, and are so glad we did. The menu is not extensive, but the food was carefully prepared -... More

Stopped here for dinner recently and so glad we did. Had the beet salad and rib eye steak. Huge portions and absolutely delicious. I ate the very last bite. Then, had one scoop of the salted caramel ice cream and it was the best ice cream I have ever eaten. Prices are high but portions (except the ice cream) are... More

Once again we had a fabulous meal here. I had breast of duck with huckleberry-port reduction over crispy spatzel and it was excellent. My husband had the oyster special and got 8 wonderfully crispy oysters which were soft and sweet inside, dredged in a cornmeal herb coating. Dessert was coconut cake with pineapple filling. Wow. What a meal. You did... More

When they say farm to fresh they mean it. I had the beet salad and it was delicious. the cherry cobbler with vanilla ice cream was excellent as well. restaurant has an artsy county charm. Stop in the bakery next door. The baked goods looked fabulous... Unlike the synthetic muffins the Holiday Inn passes as their breakfast item.
