One of the best restaurants in the area

Before you even clear the front door you are greeted with a full armor about nine feet tall. The place is overflowing with atmosphere. There is a bit of renaissance mixed with cruise ballroom (porthole windows along the wall). We arrived at 4:00pm so we were there for an early dinner and there was no one to greet us at... More

My wife and I split the 8 oz. bacon wrapped filet mignon, and it was phenomenal! We ordered the steak cooked medium, which was perfect for us (very little pink in the middle), and the steak was complimented extremely well by the side dishes of sliced potatoes and broccoli both with a tasty butter sauce. They were able to accommodate... More

My husband and I visited for our 27th anniversary and were very pleased. The atmosphere is romantic, dim lighting. The staff was great. My steak was one of the best I have had.

Steaks were cooked perfectly, lobster was sweet and moist. They had a special on steak & lobster for 29.99. We went back the next night for the same special but chose the 2 lobster tails dinner for 29.99. Too bad we are leaving the area today.......

Visited this outstanding restaurant while vacationing and am already making plans for a repeat trip before the trip is over. We had steak & lobster, steak and two different kinds of schnitzel. All plates had great side options, pan fried, red pepper mashed or baked potatoes; vegetables (I had creamed spinach!) along with bread. French onion soup was excellent and... More

I like the steaks at the Black Forrest. The owner ages the beef just the right amount to ensure a perfectly tender steak. The bar steak is a great deal. The atmosphere is inviting and if you are there when the owner, Jack, is in the house, you will most likely be personally greeted by him and he will ensure... More

My husband and I stopped here after a recent trip to Vancouver. We couldn't resist a steakhouse that also serves German food. What a pleasant surprise! We were seated in the lounge area. They were having a special on steak and lobster which my husband ordered and schnitzel which I ordered. Both were outstanding! My husband ordered the seasonal beer... More
