my wife and I typically eat here once or twice a summer and it has always been good. Very plain food and portions are a little too big but it was the only good eatery in Blaine. This time however the place was empty - swing a dead cat empty - on a Friday night. The waiter claimed Fridays were... More

The owner has been around for ever. Only he knows how many resturants he's managed. Good german food, dry aged steaks. The atmosphere is dark and cozy (sometimes loud).Try the schnitzel champignon, my favorite. TIP, show up a little early for the happy hour bar menu including a great New York for like cheap, the bar features a few tables... More

World class dry aged steak hand cut by the chef. Homemade bread is the best I've had... could eat that alone. Lobster outstanding. Steak and lobster special for $30!!! Flavor explosion in every bite!! So worth it.

Jack Niemann will not honor his own coupons even though there is no expiration date on the coupons. We had a coupon stating that the schnitzel was less than the regular price with NO expiration date on the coupon. When we gave it to the waiter, he told us, "That's just an ad not a coupon". Now what does that... More

Just loved this place. Steaks were full of flavor, vegetables were fresh, and even though I'm not much of a potato eater, the quarter of the baked potato I did eat was cooked perfectly. Even the salt in the shaker was delicious. Our waiter told us it was Pink Himalayan salt. Will definitely come back when were in town.

My husband and I had dinner during Happy Hour. The staff was friendly and attentive. I chose the happy hour/bar steak; a 10 ounce sirloin with potatoes for $8.99. It was cooked to my exact specifications and was delicious. My husband had the steak and lobster for $28.99 and he was very impressed.

I spent the extra money to get a "prime 12 oz. rib-eye steak" ($32.00) which was cooked correctly ( rare-medium rare) but was not as good as many "choice" grade steaks I've purchased and cooked. I don't know why that is....it is only my experience. I don't profess to be an expert, I only know what I've eaten and I... More

The steaks are always perfect! The portions are huge, as are the sides. I've had the Bavarian platter as well and you could have fed a Bavarian family of four for a week with it. The servers are happy to explain the dishes and are attentive to refilling glasses and taking away used plates. Oh, don't let me forget the... More
