My hubby and I decided to try out the Black Forest Steak house for an early dinner tonight. I had heard about their "happy hour" but couldn't find anything on their website to describe what it included. I am here to tell you all about it! We arrived at the restaurant at about 5:15 PM and were promptly greeted by... More

Our resort recommended this restaurant for dinner and they were spot-on! Three in our group ordered the special, steak and lobster, and they all agreed it was the best ever, As a vegetarian, I asked to have a veggie plate and it was wonderful. We were served by a great server, Troy, who helped to make the entire dining experience... More

The filet steaks and the schnitzel champignon are my favorites. We really like going to the BF Steak House in Blaine, but why do you feel that you have to charge soooo much for your dinners??? I compared the menu prices of the 2 BF restaurants (one in Bellingham and this one), and you charge $1.00 more for your schnitzel... More

Every time we go the Jack Niemann Black Forest Steak House we always order their steak. It is by far the best restaurant steak that we have ever eaten.

The food is very good. The steaks are prepared sooooo perfect! They have a bar menu that is cheaper than the regular menu but you have to eat it in the bar). The artichoke dip is to die for! It is a bit pricey, or we would go more often.

There aren't many other choices in the area, unless you cross the border into White Rock. Steaks are excellent (ask the chef to go easy on the salt--he has a very heavy hand). Don't eat the green beans. Only other choice of green vegetable currently is "creamed spinach." Can't recommend that either. Have a salad instead if you must. Atmosphere... More

We were looking for a nice place in Blaine to celebrate with our kids and came on this place. We loved the decor-classy yet not pretentious. They had a steak and lobster special that my son and I had to try, and we were not disappointed. The New York steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster tail was delicious.... More

Anytime we have out of town guests we take them here. The food is wonderful whether you order the steak, schnitzel or the special Prime Rib. The service is friendly, informative and they are there when you need them. One of the best places to eat in Blaine.

...because this area has so few restaurant options, but I did not enjoy my meal here at all. The appetizers were boring, a starter salad was pretty much just lettuce on a plate with an overly tart dressing, the steak was overly salty (and I love salt!) and the green beans were obviously from frozen, and completely unseasoned. For those... More

This is probably Blaine's only fine dining restaurant outside of the golf courses. Food is excellent and the prices reflect it. Be prepared for great schnitzel or steak, and be prepared to pay for it.
