This is a great little place to grab a sandwich sit on the porch and let Birch Bay go by. Nothin fancy here, just a place to grab a bite and move on.

I popped into the Bay Cafe as I was craving some espresso one morning while camping. The staff were easy-going, talkative and super-friendly. Had some good laughs and shared some stories, as it wasn't too busy in early May. Latte was good, and the chocolate/almond/macadamia nut cookie was the best thing I'd eaten in weeks! Baked every day, I was... More

Tammy and Dave are honest, hard-working folks who are also run a sought-after catering business in the area. The key to the quality of their work is their insistence on quality ingredients. Birch Bay, where they're located, varies from deserted in the winter to nearly overwhelmed in the summer with tourists who gather to enjoy the expansive sandy beach and... More

We come here regularly for coffee and breakfast - I love this little place! The owner and her husband are amazing people, who sit there and talk and talk with us for ever - such sweet, amazing, caring people who really know what it is like to live in Birch Bay. If you have the chance to stop at the... More

On a crisp fall morning, I rode my bike to the Bay Cafe at Birch Bay. It was off season, so most of the patrons were locals who know each other well. Before I knew it, I was drawn into conversation with them over a steaming cup of coffee. I didn't have anything to eat there, but the patron next... More

Terrific value. One of the friendliest places in Birch Bay. Great hotdogs, brats and ice cream. Take the kids in while you're enjoying a day ay the beach. Early risers - try the breakfast sandwiches!

We get take-out hot dogs. Huge Hebrew National dogs, a pop & bag of chips for $5. How can you lose? Just a short drive to Birch Bay State Park, and you have yourself a picnic!

The guy running the place said several times that the burgers were certified black angus beef. I think that was to justify the rather high price for the small burger. Burger King and McDonald's have higher-quality burgers with fries and a drink for the same price as just the burger here. On another visit, my companion and I both got... More

I just read the review stating that we claim to use CAB (Certified Angus Beef) to raise our prices. Firstly, all of our ingredients are of highest quality, and our 1/4 pound Certified Angus Beef patties are much more expensive to procure than the patties of other major chains who "may" procure their meats of old and dying livestock, this... Limited menu, but decent sandwiches and hotdogs, OK pastries, Ivar's chowder, friendly folks, good service, reasonable prices. Nice to sit out on the porch in decent weather.
