This place has a beautiful view of Mt. Rainer and a Pet Friendly Patio

We stopped and found this historical gem. I ordered marionberry crepes. They were delicious. The crepes were actually a little crispy which was different to me but very delicious. Side of thick sliced bacon hit the spot. My wife had the eggs bene and she liked them very much.

This is a must place to visit when in Seattle. We always stop here for the coconut cream pie! The breakfast and lunch meals are very generous in serving size and very flavorful. There is something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable!

Went for lunch and had great sandwiches and service. Turkey Gobbler and Turkey Croissant were both flavorful and large. Fries are a wow! Crispy and flavorful. Also tried the Cascade chips and potato and sausage soup which were also good. Service was good. Will come back.

The Black Diamond Bakery and Cafe has been a favorite stopping point on the way to Mt Rainier for many years. Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing due to the fact that our bakery items that were being sold as made fresh that morning were very dry and tasted stale. We we asked about it, and we were told they... More

I cruised by looking for breakfast, it was closed. One more lap of a very small town and it was open and filling up fast. Still got a sunny window table though. Always a good sign when the locals flock to a place. Almost didn't go in to sit because of all the bakery options. You could fill up there... More

Excellent food with courteous and professional staff. It has a breathtaking view of Mt. Rainier. The bakery is second to none. It has a craft shop, and if they don't have what you want, they'll make it. Ask for Dawn. She'll take care of you.

This restaurant/bakery has quite a wide variety to choose from. The food was very good, it was very busy-lets you know its quality. I have been for breakfast and lunch and both were delicious and the service was top notch. Yes, vegetarians will find much to choose from there also.

Nothing avant garde here, but very good renditions of Americana country cooking. Good sized portions and fair pricing. Friendly staff and the kind of bakery that people travel for.

The signs to find historical Black Diamond off Hwy 169 are not super obvious--even if you miss the first time, turn around! We visited the Museum, Antiques store (which my companion described as "what can't fit in the museum") and Bakery/restaurant. We enjoyed them all very much and could have spent more time in this historical side trip, on our... More

This restaurant/bakery is in a rather isolated location, but it is well worth the effort to find. (The town of Black Diamond only has 4,000 residents to begin with). We were actually out on a leisurely joy ride when we came upon this place. We have returned many times since then, often taking our out-of-towners for a little something different.... More
