This little nook resides in an upstairs corner of a fabulous independent book shop. Windows overlook Fairhaven's Village Green and the water beyond ~ a sublime view, and a perfect place to enjoy a good meal and glass of wine or cup of coffee. Owner and chef Charles embraces the local, sustainable food movement, as evidenced by his menu. This... More

This bookstore is a fabulous experience in a historic setting...it offers a great browsing experience for every interest. Allow yourself some time to investigate the offerings...& maybe have a coffee! A wonderful place.

We have had lunch here on many occasions over the past few years and liked our selections. This recent visit found that the menu was limited. The pulled pork sandwich had a very bad flavor and tasted like it had been frozen too long and thawed. Do not recommend this choice.

This is a marvelous place to go have lunch with a friend- or just grab a book in Fairhaven books and peruse through it while you are having a local beer or wine or a fabulous fresh salad, soup or sandwich. They have wonderful fresh ingredients, and you can't beat the view or the prices. Sit up here and watch... More

Hopefully not, but in the days of the 'Big Box' retailers of books, this is a gem. Village Books is directly across the street from Fairhaven Village Inn, which I have reviewed elsewhere . The complete opposite of a 'big box' bookstore, Village Books attracts staff who love books and love sharing them with customers.

You can always find a book here to interest you. Note that this a private book store and not a chain. The prices will be a tad higher but the book selection is top drawer.
