A Bellingham landmark

If you're a visitor to Bellingham, you simply have to go to Mallard's for ice cream. Period. Taste a few flavors first (though I'd stay away from the Rose -- a lot like licking a bar of soap). I recommend the Espresso or the Belgian Chocolate.

I like the place, but some of the flavors are really harsh. If it says pepper, then that is what it is! Be careful of that when ordering. Also don't sit on the sofas they have not been cleaned in a while and smell bad.

My family of 5 stopped here for an after dinner treat. The ice cream was great with may interesting flavors to try. They offered free tastes so you could try before you buy. It was busy while we were there so seating was limited.

When we first walked in and up to the counter, the two employees started dancing to the music and danced right into the back room without ever saying hello. So, the service wasn't all that great, but when they had finished their dance party, we enjoyed the ice cream. The non-dairy grapefruit was exceptional and we also had the Vanilla... More

Malllards ice cream is the best ever! The hot Fudge Sundae is our favorite. The hot fudge and whipping cream are fresh made in the shop. We like it with the super vanilla ice cream. My other all-time favorite is coconut ice. They use real coconut cream to make these. The creativity and a variety of unusual flavors is what... More

We frequent Mallards a few times a year. It always has a refreshing array of interesting flavors. All ingredients are organic. Locally sourced flavors in season include strawberry, raspberry and blueberry. They have excellent standbys like chocolate, and vanilla. Unexpected combinations include lavender and Basil. Don't be intimidated by the line out the door. Even with the free tastes everybody... More

One of the delights about Bellingham is Mallard's Ice Cream. They have the most amazing flavors, always changing them, but keep the basics, too. Their ice cream is worth the drive if you are passing through and the staff are always delightful. It is a fun place, kids love it and so do the young at heart!

Mallard Ice Cream is truly delicious. They make it themselves and have a wide selection of flavors. Yum!

Walk around town holding hands. Try cardamom ice cream at Mallards. Remember that life is very good!
