Excellent quality food and very attentive service. Love the freshness of their dishes and baked goods.

Ordered their specialty French Toast, with all the cream was more like a dessert. Great coffee, ordered bacon never came. Could be a nice cafe, lack of ambiance, closed in, will not return

Very excited to have BF here after an early appointment in Fairhaven. My friend & I also excited to see they make their Eggs Benedict with homemade sauce. However, someone FORGOT to put in the lemon!! It didn't taste any different than the packaged sauce....Loved that it came on potatoes instead of biscuits or bread. Very gracious & accommodating wait staff. Asked if they could make a Flat White which is very popular in the UK. & she did a great job. I bought a Ginger Cookie on the way out...but someone FORGOT to put in the ginger!! Just a regular sugar cookie. Very disappointed.More

Been going to the Fairhaven location for years and it us sad to see employees standing around not taking orders. Waited 30 minutes and had to interrupt their chat fest to ask for someone to take our order. Waited another 30 minutes for food. Tomato...and bean soup had 3 beans. Breakfast burrito not available. Overcharged us for soup upgrade to bowl. Terrible experience. Won't return.More

First of all...I expected a bakery with a glass case full of goodies to purchase...what we found was ( 11:15 AM) was a case almost empty...with less options than I thought I'd find in a bakery...Starbucks has more selection! We were there to meet another...couple for lunch...first comes the water...( had to be room temperature tap water)...in an unmarked bottle with 4 small plastic worn out glasses on top of the bottle...silver wear placed in a stained dirty red soup cup...and 4 menus. My $11.50 turkey/ gouda sandwich had a very thin slice of Turkey and another thin slice of cheese on thick slices of flavorless bread ( again this is supposed to be a bakery)...friends had the wheat bread...they tried my sandwich and said the wheat was better...but not great. These 4 sandwiches cost an average of $14.00 each...no fries...couple of pickles and sliced pickled carrots... Certainly not worth the price...to add potatoes/ soup/ salad...$5.00 extra! I ordered a " cinnamon roll " for one of my guests..$5.00 each...guest said it was " just ok "...restroom was as clean...service was ok! ...absolutely not a place I'd go back to...not worth the $75.00.... Could be an ok place if the food was better...More

Came here after researching best breakfast spots in Bellingham and seeing that this place was rated highly. Nice setting with a very pleasant outdoor seating area. It was all downhill after being seated. It took a long time for our server to appear and after...taking our order for drinks it took a long time for the coffee to arrive and our server needed to be reminded of the OJ order. While serving the coffee she spilled it on my wife - fortunately she wasn't burnt. We then waited for items ordered to appear. The baked item never did. My wife's order was incorrect - she ordered quiche with a side of fruit and received quiche with pan fries. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage and a side of pan fries - I received the sandwich with bacon and the fries. The substitute server ( the original one had been replaced) offered to remake the sandwich but after waiting as long as we had we didn't want to prolong the agony. Neither item was something that we would order again - the pan fries were inedible and both sandwich and quiche extremely dry and tasteless. We were actually happy that the bakery item never arrived. I don't know how this location was rated as high as it was - we certainly won't be recommending it.More

With no mandates in effect anymore we were discriminated against because we chose to not get the jab and were tuned away. Well we could have eaten outside in the cold rain but no thanks. Had eaten there before and wanted to try again. Won’t...ever go back. Spending our money elsewhere.More

I'm surprised to see bad reviews for this restaurant! We had a great experience with the staff and the food was terrific. We had never been to Bellingham so this was our first time eating here and we loved it. If we're ever in town...again, I'd definitely want to eat here!More

The first time here for breakfast I thought it was good. Not great, but certainly worthy of another go. The 2nd time I was less impressed. And now the 3rd time & I’m done. Eggs could only be ordered over-hard or poached - maybe scrambled,...too, I can’t remember. If you can fry an egg hard, why can’t you fry it medium? Toast selection was also limited, so I chose focaccia. Since they’re a bakery I thought this might be a good & unusual choice. My husband ordered their specialty - eggs benedict. We left the bulk of our breakfasts on the plates. The plain focaccia was stale, dry & tasteless & was not served with anything that might help, like jam. The breakfast potatoes were cold & rubbery. My poached-medium eggs were fine. The hollandaise sauce was tasteless, the eggs were poached hard instead of the “easy” my husband asked for. The coffee was warm water. Not only was the food terrible but how they handle seating during this pandemic is a mystery. When we entered masked, we were asked to show proof of vaccination. Others walked in, maskless, & were never asked about vaccination status. Lastly, it was high priced compared to other breakfasts in Bellingham — very expensive for lousy food.More

I’m fine with them requiring a mask, vax card and waiting outside. But we waited outside in line as many groups just marched in and were seated. One wasn’t wearing masks.

I am a breakfast lover and breakfast snob! This is officially one of the best breakfasts I have ever had! Had the lemon curd waffle, beyond amazing. Bloody Mary and coffee also great. Bacon was cooked perfectly! Will definitely return each time I visit Bellingham!

Order was delivery from the Fairhaven location for the breakfast sandwich, a gluten free pear apple brie crepe, 2 iced sweetened teas, and a couple pastries. The teas were not sweetened or iced. The crepe had little to no brie (what brie was in there...was melted to the point where I thought there wasn't any bree at all, but the liquefied remains are there), with shards of average pear/apple kind of stuffed in and around the soggy crepe. The sandwich had no flavor/seasoning, and was also soggy due to the fact that the toasted sandwich had been snugly wrapped in aluminum. I haven't looked at the pastries yet. This is the first time in my 4 years of enjoying Mount bakery where I've had a bad experience, so maybe it was a bad day. For 60$, in this economy, it is a gamble I don't feel I can make often. 2 stars there for the customer service on the phone at least. Side salad was nice.More

Excellent breakfast outdoors under the covered, heated sidewalk patio. There’s also a large covered, heated deck with plenty of seating. Great choice for a Covid-safe breakfast, even with the rain. The quiche was a very generous portion served with a big salad for about $9....I would not call this place overpriced in the least. Service was friendly and excellent.More

Had breakfast here as a group of three on a weekday morning. The cafe is located just on the fringes of downtown Bellingham with only on-street parking available. That makes it a pain if you're driving, given the local parking conditions. We were greeted by...a very friendly employee, who was also our server. A second server arrived a bit later and she, also, was both friendly and attentive. That was a definite plus. The breakfast options are limited, but adequate and are well prepared and with generous portions. The ambiance is something probably best descried as "funky contemporary" and the seating is limited, but was adequate for the number of customers when we were there. There was also a case with pastries that looked appealing. The coffee was excellent and that's a big plus in my book. Any place in, or near, the downtown area is going to be overpriced, however, and the Mt Bakery is no exception. It's probably not out of line with other downtown locations, but it's certainly no bargain. Expect a breakfast to run between $20 -25 for food, coffee, tax and tip. Honestly, be prepared to tip the staff a bit extra, because they certainly deserve it. They were the best part of the experience.More
