I have lived in Bellingham for my entire life... which is a total of 22 years, and Avanue Bread is BY FAR the best sandwich, soup, and atmosphere for a quick lunch in Bellingham. Avenue is always my first choice, and recommendation for lunch in Bellingham. Great People, Great Food, and a GREAT atmosphere. more
I have to rave that the Tomato Dill Soup is the best thing since sliced bread... which they also sell! =) Also, if you want a great combo get the Tomato Dill and one of twists (which they have a huge variety of and are constantly re-inventing). We come here often and order the eggenue sandwiches. Great value, great taste, and healthy, too. The service can be slow, but that doesn't stop us. We love to sit at the window and look at the bay. more
