Description: Located in historic building over a hundred years old and adjacent to city park space for nearly 30 years, the Colophon Cafe is the true heart of Fairhaven. We strive for fresh and delicious food, offering five homemade soups a day, fresh salads and good old comfort food with the best French dips, pulled pork and potpies. Our bakers make all our goodies from scratch. We are undergoing a remodel and expansion in early 2014 and are excited to see you soon!

My partner and I went to Colophone for lunch today, and overall were left unimpressed with the food. Service was good and as with other places in Fairhaven, it's in an interesting buidling. The food however, left something to be desired. My partner had a half sandwich and soup, and I had a whole sandwich. The soup was good, and... More

Three friends and I stumbled upon the Colophon Cafe while meandering around Fairhaven. We were greeted promptly and sat in a large, comfy booth. Our server Allison was SO friendly and personable! She was able to make great suggestions and did everything in a timely manner. Between the four of us we had two different kinds of pot pies, a... More

Impromptu coffee and snack while walking Fairhaven on a Saturday afternoon. Walked in, requested a table outside and was seated streight away. Server was pleasant. Ordered artichoke dip and large bown of African Nut soup and coffee. The dip came hot served with thin toasted bagel slices. It was thick and tastey. The soup was served above warm not hot.... More

I have always liked this little café, but since its upgrade, it's even nicer. They've moved the restaurant downstairs and put in comfy chairs, a fireplace and patio dining. My daughter and I loved our soup and sandwiches (and the desserts are great-try the peanut butter pie) Wonderful service too-highly recommended (great bookstore too)

Really really good food that is consistent every visit. The soups are excellent. ingredients are fresh and they have some of the best balsamic vinegar on the planet from the oil and vinegar vendor upstairs from the restaurant.

The Colophon is a Fairhaven institution-- cute, casual, with a nice patio for outdoor dining during nice weather. I stop here anytime I'm in the neighborhood for lunch, or get something to read from Village Books upstairs and relax with a cookie and some coffee. The African peanut soup is to die for, I could eat it every day. Clam... More

Service is not bad, but the food is not that great for the price. Also not a very big selection on the menu.

Hiding from the chill of the town square, we tucked in for lunch. Food was pretty good, prices were fair, and service was quick and attentive.

What a great find for two veggies to find a place with such great options. The flight of three soups were all delicious and the veggie pot pie was fantastic. Also, how can you go wrong with $2.50 for a bottomless cup of organic coffee. We were very pleased with the friendly service and the everything about our visit. Oh... More

I wanted to like this restaurant SO much. We were in Bellingham for the weekend and knew that we wanted to eat in Fairhaven, the weather was beautiful so we walked all around and picked this place to make a dinner reservation. I will say that as a lunch place, this restaurant might be a good choice. I think that... More
