Locally Sourced, Deliciously Prepared in Bellingham!

Bellingham is a jumping off point for the Alaska State Ferries - and if you're there for a while, search out the Old Town Cafe for a true taste of the Pacific Northwest, from ingredients to hospitality. There's not much better in my book, my "food" book that is, than a local restaurant serving up... read more

We went for a late breakfast to this great restaurant. We’ve never been there before and we had to wait for a table. It was cold outside, and the restaurant is in an old part of town near the waterfront. While waiting for a table, an obviously homeless man came into the restaurant and the man working at the counter... More

What a beautiful place to stop in for brunch. Good friendly service, great coffee, and organic eats for either vegetarian or non vegetarians. The food was delicious. Great ambiance, too. While we were eating a mandolin player set up on the music chair, and was great. Really worth a visit.

We had lunch recently at the Old Town Cafe and enjoyed the bustling, relaxed atmosphere and the tasty food. Portions were big enough that we took boxes home for another good meal. Good sandwiches, country fried potatoes and eggs dishes, and what looked like a lot of other good things. The coffee was terrific -- I was well-caffeinated for the... More

We love Old Town Cafe for breakfast and lunch. The choices are great, the food is great, and the cafe itself is wonderful. It's funky, casual, family-friendly, friend-friendly, and a local treasure.

Old Town Cafe is a genuinely local place to eat with great food and a wonderful staff. On my daughter's recommendation (who could not believe we had not been there before) we met for Saturday brunch for my birthday. The food was fresh and delicious. We especially loved the atmosphere, though. It is bright and colorful and someplace we will... More

Two couples from out of town. Excellent food and ambiance. Very child friendly, with a little play area with all sorts of 'things' to keep the young ones happy. For food, I had a California Omelet with Home Fries and Toast. My wife had Tofu which she said had a seasoning that she really liked. Another had French Toast with... More

We stopped here on Labor Day weekend for breakfast. My husband had an omelet. He thought it was very good. The bread (we both had whole wheat) was out of this world. It was really satisfying. I was so pleased to find they had a tofu scramble. It made my day. It was very good. There are vegan options on... More

Okay so I confess when I am making pancakes for my family and I am cooking up at least 3 pancakes per person I may have in the past left an overcooked pancake on the serving tray. There is always someone in the large group that will eat a slightly overdone pancake. BUT when you are at a cafe, paying... More

Ugh, I agree, no one likes burnt pancakes. So sorry you had a rotten experience with us. We all make mistakes from time to time. At the Old Town Cafe we do try to fix ours. But sometimes we don't realize things are off because we are busy serving food, not eating it ourselves. That friendly staff you mentioned does... More
