We were turned on to the Home Skillet by Larry the Bartender at the Hearthfire on the waterfront. We were sold after our first visit. Great biscuits and gravy, soft scrambled eggs, sausage patties and potatoes. Everything is served HOT (a rarity nowadays). Tina and the staff are great. In fact we bought two orders of the homemade sausage to... More

This is a very small, off the beaten path breakfast and lunch joint. We arrived at 830 on a Saturday am and it was already full. Very friendly and helpful staff. Huge portions and a bit greasy. We had the tofu - tater tot hash and veggie skillet. Decor is very eclectic. If you have a clown phobia, give the... More

I watch what I eat...I try to eat clean. BUT... if you decide you just plain need to let it fly to the wind...do it HERE. What can I say. This is home cooked decadence with a capital H. What did I have.. how about pulled pork with tater tots - soft cooked egg on the top and all 4... More

What a place, fun, fresh food and a lot of it. Breakfasts are imaginative (tater tot hash and giant pieces of pulled pork - Mmm) their own house made sauce assortment, the great and lively staff - everything rings right in this place. I bring everyone who visits us here and they have never disappointed. Line ups on a weekend... More

This is an odd place, but interesting. There is no inside waiting and we had to wait about 20 minutes outside in the rain. Luckily we had a spot in the small parking lot so it was okay. There were quite a few people just waiting in the rain. We thought it must be a fantastic restaurant to have people... More

Love breakfast, but I'm not a breakfast foodie. However Homeskillet is beyond delicious. Agree w/all comments about how funky it is. Best thing about it is the freshness and quality of the food. The meats, veggies, and eggs are top notch.

Our granddaughters met us for breakfast and was I surprised at the food. Great breakfast and service. I enjoyed the meal, service and atmosphere. Biggest problem is parking because it's so good.

Couple of blocks off James St. on Kentucky, in an old house. Eclectic doesn't do it justice. The owners have decorated with circus stuff - clowns clowns clowns. Not at all fancy, just a place to go to get a huge, tasty breakfast and enjoy the funky artistry.
