My husband and I had a carry-out lunch from here, and I really enjoyed my sandwich. I had the Mediterranean, and it was very flavorful. The veggies on it were not limp or slimy at all. Not overcooked. They were just crisp enough, maintaining their "bite" without being as crisp as a salad. The bread was grainy and had a... More

We had Reubens(2) Turkey Pesto and one other I cant remember. All were excellent. The coffee (in a real cup) was great.

Love all of the Avenue Bread locations. The food is delicious and fairly priced. I've never had a bad experience. We love Avenue Bread so much we devour a baguette in one sitting.

What's not to like here: great sandwiches, prepared to order, with fresh ingredients, on their own delicious locally-baked breads: whether a vegetarian, vegan, or carnivore, there are plenty of creative and fresh sandwich combinations for all - as well as a variety of salads, two or three excellent daily soup options, and decadent bakery items, both sweet and savory. So... More

Came to Avenue Bread & Cafe for a quick bite before starting the day. Man, those egg sandwiches are delicious! I had a difficult time choosing which one, but was nonetheless satisfied with my choice! Good coffee, great set-up. Good light from outside, plenty of tables, and a clean-up-after-yourself attitude I can get behind. I wish we could have come... More

Just down the street from Trader Joes, an unassuming place from the street however the food is better than most. Tried the omelet special and was not disappointed, spinach, caramelized onions, bacon, cheese and more with a large helping of crisp shredded hash browns.. The rye toast had caraway seeds and a crispness that can only be had in an... More

This is a must stop for anyone coming near downtown Bellingham. Many good restaurants but for an afternoon or early evening sandwich this place cannot be beat. Great staff and atmosphere as well.

Try the Egginues for breakfast. Mmmmm. The coffee is good too and the sandwiches make an excellent lunch. My wife and visit every time we are in Bellingham.
