I was surprised by the number of bad reviews but then not everyone has the same experience. Our family dines here about once every 3 months. I like their Italian food much better than Maggianos. Out of most Italian restaurants I've been to, eating here is most like actually eating in Italy. I've had a good experience each time I... more

The ambiance and wait staff were fine. But I wanted Italian food. It was all wrong. The very bitter orange spread for the bread turned out not to be carrots. The salad nicoise, was mostly tuna and very salty. The gnocchi were too soft, too gummy with a sauce that also had no flavor. Everything was forgettable except for the... more

Never ate there, went in, they sat me at the worst table while I waited for my husband (the restaurant was newly opened and EMPTY) so when he showed up we left. more

We had heard that Lucianos was very good. The food was at best medicore and the prices extremely high. Pasta Nova, Italianissimo, Maggianos, and Salute' much much better all around. The waiter was hard to understand. We bought wine by the glass ($10.50 ea). My glass was full of sediment (they did replace it) but just as the evening was... more

My husband and I ate here last week because a nearby Italian restaurant (Maggiano's) had too long of a wait. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had. First of all, we were seated and then left alone for 10 minutes or more, even though we had looked at the menu and put it aside, obviously ready... more

We went here on a Thursday night and got squeezed into a small table next to a very large group. The food was good, but the prices were outrageous. The duck was $31 and halibut was $28.50. The house wine was $8.75 per glass, and not much in the glass. While my husband's dinner was very good with red roasted... more

Two of us had lunch and the food was excellent. Adam, the waiter, was exceptionally helpful in choosing a good wine and in describing the dishes. I had carbonara and it was superb. The wine he recommended was a solid sangiovese and very good value. I am going back there tomorrow for dinner so will follow up with another review. more

Most people are waiting to get in line to get into Maggliano's Little Italy, and lucky for us, we got much better food and shorter wait, since few have caught on to this gem. Smaller portions, but upscale atmosphere, and amazing food and presentation. Nice selection of fish, main course; you can tell the pasta and sauces are made fresh... more
