The food is quite good - nicely presented, though the portions were small. When we were there, though one of the specials (white salmon) was out and they a) didn't tell us right away and b) offered to substitute trout (not the same at all!). Pretty disappointing, considering the price. more

This is a wonderful place for seafood. We have been impressed with nearly every seafood dish we have sampled here. Highly recommend their Crusted Diver Scallops! However, while they have steak as an entree, I would really not recommend it, you will be disappointed. If you want steak, go to Daniel's instead. Oh, and great desserts here as well! more

My husband and were visiting Seattle for a wedding. We decided to go out to celebrate our own anniversary. This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel. What a great find! Some of the best food ever! The Creme Brule was excellent!!! more

I came here with my wife for her 49th birthday... I made the reservation with an online service called opentable.com... In the comments/special request section, I asked if a small desert/cake could be brought to my wife for her birthday... I wanted to see how good these guys were since I had been here before... My wife got a birthday... more

Let's say average for fine dining. I can appreciate the high level of seafood they are putting together but the flavors almost overwhelm the simplicity that most seafood should carry with it. The portions are enormous and most likely should be for 25-40 bucks the majority of entrees. Creative raw bar apps are good but again the hamachi was lost... more

I'm comparing Seastar to some of the really great places in Vancouver, BC - and it beats many of them. The fish is fresh and the presentation is amazing. more

I had dinner with my fiance in the Bellevue Sea Star last evening and everything was just about perfect. The martini I ordered was perfection, as was the Hawaiian poke appetizer- just as good as you would get in Hawaii which I have on numerous trips. The diver scallops were wonderful and my ladys cedar plank salmon was also delicous,... more

Seastar is the best restaurant on the east side. The lunch menu tends to be the best overall value. However, dinner is also a great option. more

We arrived at Seastar and thought it must be closed because it was so empty. We have to wonder if it because the food was just mediocre or if the food was mediocre because it is so empty. Of the dishes our group ordered, the scallops were outstanding. The rest was barely average. The planked salmon was just good but... more
