I might have given this restaurant a better score except for the crazy high ratings it gets from others. Calamari Poppers are tough and the spice is not right. Too far forward for a spicy tuna filling. Pepper crusted tuna was pedestrian, nothing more. Service was just okay, nothing special and a little too familiar as in "hey bud" though... More

Got into town late and was on the Eastside so i asked a buddy where i should eat and Seastar was quick to be mentioned. Crab legs were great and the salmon was on the money. The only down side was the service it left a bit to be desired.

What a wonderful birthday treat! Applewood grilled salmon, Yukon gold mashed potatoes and fresh green beans ... so yummy! All accompanied by a special bottle of wine from our home cellar. First class service, beautiful elegant decor, and handmade chocolate truffles with a candle on top made this a perfect birthday dinner.

Friends who live in Bellevue recommended Seastar when a friend and I were visiting Seattle for the first time. All I can say is - WOW! It was probably the best meal we had during our four day visit to the area. We started with the sea tower appetizer - grilled scallops, fried shrimp, and crab cakes. Every morsel was... More

Four of us ate here for lunch recently. The food was extrodinary, and the service was excellent. Since I was a guest from out of town I had no idea of the high-quality restaurant we were being brought to, only a few blocks from our office. But what a pleasant surprise! Very creative and delicious food! Try it - you'll... More

I can't say that about too many restaurants, but this place is top notch. Thank you John Howie for putting Sea Star in place, and putting your own creative touch on seafood :) It's pretty spendy to eat here, but you won't come away feeling ripped off at all. Everything I've tried at this place has been over the top,... More

Took a client here for dinner. We order halibut and salmon and the food was excellent. The wait staff was professional and friendly.

Don't order the calamari! The bartender warned us that people "either really like it or really don't ... We didn't! Oysters are good but way over priced .

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and we originally came for happy hour. The bar was busy but not overcrowded, excellent service. We decided to stay for dinner and had a great meal with very good service. Portions are not huge but certainly ample and the food quality was excellent. The spicy soup was very good. Noise level was... More

We returned to Seastar to celebrate a special Anniversary and were so pleased that we did. Having noted the occasion on my Open Table reservation, we arrived on time and were immediately escorted to a wonderful window table location on a beautiful night. Mind you, there's not much to see out that window, but at least we had some privacy... More
