Good deli hard to find in the PNW

So I was excited to try Gilbert's. It's an order at the counter kind of place & they have a good selection of my deli favorites. I had Matzo ball soup- the matzo ball was excellent with some carrots & celery in the broth which was just meh. I also had #9, the highlighted favorite with pastrami... read more

We have been here on numerous occasions. Love the breakfasts especially the omelets. For lunch you can't beat the pastrami and corned beef sandwiches. But my fav is always the matzoh ball soup. Cant beat it!

This restaurant has great New York style sandwiches. The Pastrami and Corned Beef are the best in town. You will not be disappointed but you will suffer sticker shock. This place is very expensive!

Being from the east coast, Gilbert's is my type of place. I try to go to breakfast there every Sunday and it makes my week. If you have read other reviews on this site they complain about the cost of the meals. The fact is that you get what you pay for. If you order an omelet you get an... More

The food here is good. We live in Bellevue so I've been here many times and the lady who is always there, owner, manager, whatever, is RUDE.....ALWAYS! I came in once for lunch with my daughter dressed in baggy gym clothes (I do NOT feel it is necessary to wear a cute lululemon outfit for every workout!) and she rang... More

When it is summer time, make sure to grab a table outside to people watch. We have enjoyed our meals here. It is isn't cheap but the quality is reflected in what is served. Today our eggs were a little dry but normally everything is delicious.

The food here is good, but very expensive. We're talking about $20 sandwiches. The plates are heaped with food, and you can order half portions, which would give you a realistic portion and cut the bill substantially. The split pea soup was very good, the turkey with coleslaw was good and the French toast was good. All too much to... More

The weekday specials are reasonable and tasty. We each had the small omelette with bagel set. Bagels are very good with cream cheese and jam on the side. Nice choices for the omelettes, various veggies and cheese combos. Very tasty and just the right size. One egg plus. Coffee is self serve and fine. Atmosphere is cozy friendly. Staff were... More

It seemed like a Bellevue treasure compared to the rat race of the mall area. I walked from the Red Lion up Main Street for about 15 minutes to Old Town to get there. I got the Matza soup which is their specialty. First they served me a good bagel and cream cheese and great jam then came the huge... More
