Quoted from their website: At John Howie Steakhouse we offer 6 tiers of the world’s best steaks from our 28 day, 35 day and 42 day custom aged USDA prime beef. Less than 2% of domestic cattle grade out at prime. All our USDA prime beef is single sourced from Nebraska. Nebraska beef is known for its rich corn based... More

My husband and I didn't want a full course meal so we ate in the bar area which was extremely comfortable and not loud. We ordered several apps that were excellent and delicious. In particular, deviled eggs and tenderloin bites. We will be back.

Everything here was impeccable. We went with a small group after the Seahawks' season-opener victory. We were seated right away (had a reservation). The staff was simply outstanding. The host who seated us was very friendly and talkative (unlike many places). Our server Evan was super knowledgeable about every item on the menu and had plenty of recommendations that were... More

What a treat to sit down to a first class steakhouse lunch at reasonable prices. A great variety of entrees including items for non-steak-eaters. Exceptional service, great food, all from a chef who gives back to the community through several events. Local business employees dining on weekdays make the dress code casual and the noise level buzz, but definitely a... More

Can't find a better place for an excellent steak washed down with a fine claret in the North West. Perhaps the entire U.S. Not exaggerating. One simply can't go wrong, every time. Personal favourite is Steak tartare of the Wagyu ilk. Simply exquisite! One would go as far as to say that one would pay for a steak anyone is... More

This is my all time favorite restaurant for quality food & service. Wait staff were always there at just the right time. My steak was beyond perfect as were all sides. Dessert? Wonderful. I've only been there once and hope to change that soon. After visiting fine restaurants in San Diego; Chicago; Hawaii; San Francisco; New Orleans; Washington, DC; New... More

Seattle might be the bigger city, but Bellevue and John Howie has the best steak in the Pacific NW. No contest. From the moment you make your reservation to when you get into your car after dinner/drinks, you'll know why this place is always busy and people keep going back. You get what you pay for and more here. Happy... More

went last night as a couple to try it out, given the high marks it has gotten. service over the top. things perfectly timed and wait staff well in tune...no pressure. food very well done - we had table side service for ceasars and ribeye. only thing I would like different would be the overall feel of the place. mood... I always enjoy a good steakhouse but this one goes over the top, especially in service. The menu is pretty much the same as the other up-scale steak house chains but there are interesting twists such as their tempura maple bacon appetizer that you have to order. I liked this place better than Ruth’s Chris which is saying something. Well... More

We decided to give it a try after reading reviews raving about the place. Well, it was a huge disappointment. Food was not bad but not over the top that I would expect in this price range. The atmosphere was good, mainly businessmen having dinner with business partners. But the service was the worst I've had. They were trying waaaay... More
