it is a top quality restaurant. Yes, expensive but for a special occasion it is really worth it. The décor is very modern and nice, beautiful in the evening. The waiter gentleman was very professional. The food is excellent. The tempura bacon is to die for, lol. Highly recommend it!

Okay, this place is expensive. Ridiculously expensive. The top of the line Australian Wagyu Filet is like...80 bucks for a 4oz and $120 for the 6 oz. Just buck up and get the dammed thing. It's...ummm...astounding. Then add the Lobster Mashed Potatoes and chase it all with the Volcanic Chocolate Lava cake. Seriously good. While I haven't been in some... More

I love steak. Historically, Daniels has been my favorite steakhouse. When John Howie opened, my wife and I gave it a try. We loved every aspect of it but the price - it's probably 1/3 more than Daniels. So we made JH our "annual" place - we typically go once a year for our anniversary - it is that special.... More

Dined here last year and left disappointed so when a friend chose this for this birthday I was bummed but.....SO glad I gave it a second shot! Service was fantastic. The perfect amount of professional and friendly. Food was awesome! I am a tried & true Daniel's fan but have to admit this filet was better. It was perfectly cooked... More

My brother and I decided to take my mother to John Howie in Bellevue for her 87th Birthday. What a great idea! The service was outstanding and the food scruptious. We had the Maine Lobster Salad appetizer which was well worth it. What flavor! Then mom and I split the "Oscar Style" Filet...highly recommend...and it was very nice of them... More

...I'm not sure prices are worth it. I really like steak, but maybe my taste buds are not mature or sophisticated enough to appreciate the differences between an $80 steak vs $32. I had American Wagyu Rib Eye and husband had Australian Filet. Both were very good, but I couldn't justify paying that much again. The sides were pretty good... More

I stopped in for lunch early around 11:15 am and was greeted by a nice hostess and I sat in the bar. Wine and menu items are well presented and thebar area is attractive. A waiter came by, took my order and left. No warmth or personality. I ordered a coffee, caesar salad and a pastrami sandwich. The coffee came... More

I live right across the street from this place, I eat here at least once every couple weeks. The food is always superb. The chef takes good care of me, he understands I am vegetarian so he always has a sample of something I can try when they bring out the little chef bites for everyone to try. The sides... More

The service and ambience was good when I went there for lunch with my co-workers. The wine selection is good, the Merlot was pretty awesome (a bit pricey). I am a vegetarian and there are only couple of options (pasta and sandwich). Not a good place for vegetarians but otherwise the experience was good.

We found the service and most of the food to be acceptable but the "42 day Custom Aged USDA Prime Beef" was a serious disappointment. Very noisy bar scene due to the popular happy hour. When I complained to the management I was offered a reimbursement certificate but declined the offer. For this price good food and service is to... More
