If you are around Redmond and just have one possibility to go our for dinner, then get to John Howie. I was for business in Redmond and was invited for dinner in a private room. Forget about everything as here it is all about steaks. I think they prepare the high quality steaks exactly to your preference. The prices are... More

Business dinners almost invariably entail changes to the group size at the last minute, and sometimes the surprise guest ends up being the one who advances my business the most. So I need a restaurant that can accommodate. We needed one extra seat last night (for a total of 11) and, despite there being multiple tables nearby that could have... More

From the drinks, to the salads to the steaks and dessert, this was an incredible dining experience. Impressive wait staff helped us navigate the maze of steak offerings. Something for everyone here.

John Howie Steak is located on the second floor of the Microsoft Building among the shops at the Bravern. There is valet parking or free (validated) self-park in the basement of where all those Microsoft people work. The menu emphasis is fully disclosed in the restaurant's name. He has other restaurants in Seattle with different emphases. We began with two... More

I've been here three times now, and every time the food and service have been outstanding. Very attentive staff, without hovering. On my latest visit, I tried three appetizers -- habanero shrimp, Dungeness crab fritters, tempura bacon. Add a petit filet mignon, perfectly cooked, along with asparagus, brussels sprouts, sauteed spinach, and twice baked stuffed potato. I should have stopped... More

The restaurant has so many different type of steak... Add Truffle butter to give a more rich flavour to the Steak (have it cooked to Medium Rare to appreciate the texture of the Steak). The foie gras and escargot were equally good, but unfortunately not the fries which were quite soggy... So skip the fries and go for the dessert.

I've been here for wonderful and popular happy hour. I've had the incredible hamburger, mac & cheese and other delectables all of which were great. The venue is small and will have a line to get in if you come at the later happy hour time. I've also had business lunches here. Our recent lunch was amazing. We had a... More

John Howie Steak offers a lot of great steak options: Wagyu, Australian Wagyu and Japanese Wagyu. I tried the Australian Wagyu medium rare and was very pleased. It was tender with incredible flavor. There are a lot of great seafood options for those who don't eat red meat. My wife had the Salmon and really enjoyed it. The sides are... More

This is very good restaurant with unique steak offerings. We were celebrating anniversary and decided to try this restaurant. The service is amazing and the restaurant is a very good place for romantic dinner and or business dinner. We tried the Waguy beef trio, American, Australian and Japanese. I would definitely recommend this steak house for any meat lover person... More
