Cookies!!!

My husband and I spent the day strolling Winslow after taking the ferry over from Seattle. On our way back to the terminal we stopped in Blackbird for a quick snack to go. It was busy but the staff were friendly- we got lavender sugar cookies and they were DIVINE. So crispy and buttery- mmmmm!!

We loved this little bakery and enjoyed some amazing tart/quiche like dish. It was a great atmosphere on the main drag. It was difficult finding seating due to everyone loving this place.

This is it....our favorite. Fresh baked goods and good coffee. The best of the best...and lots of custom made to order items. We LOVE this place and keep going back but it is crowded - so plan ahead. Good homemade soups, breads, sweets....you won't be disappointed here.

This bakery serves tourists and regulars in the community with equal dedication. Their baked items are delicious, their coffee warm and tasty. This is a great place for a day trip from the ferry, or a quick zip downtown for locals. Though not a place I feel comfortable hanging out because of the funky layout, a lot of people do.... More

Our group of 5 had gotten hungry and a bit cold from the rainy fall day on the island. They have a nice front window to be able to watch activity on the street which brought us in. Very cute cookies which looked like caring hands which were a big hit with the kids. The adults liked the scones and... More

Cakes are seasonal, so they change periodically, but they are consistently awesome and delicious! They even have a gluten free option! Friendly service. Cash or check ONLY...no cards, so be prepared. Order your cake in advance to ensure that you get the one you want (they go fast). They're a bit pricey, but worth every cent!

Blackbird is an excellent bakery and well situated in the heart of Winslow. Their chocolate cream pie is to die for. One area of caution for the unsuspecting tourist is they don't take credit or debit cards. This is a little jarring in our customer centric world, and actually does keep some of us locals from dropping in more regularly.... More

Popped in here for a quick bite of lunch while visiting Bainbridge Island for the day. Lots of interesting choices, & great to find a vegetarian/vegan cafe. Soup was delicious & I wish I'd had room for one of their gorgeous looking sweet pastries! Staff were lovely, too.

A good stop for a bite to eat or to take dessert home for guests. They make a fine tiramisu cake - and the breakfast pastries are very good too.
