Our group of 5 had gotten hungry and a bit cold from the rainy fall day on the island. They have a nice front window to be able to watch activity on the street which brought us in. Very cute cookies which looked like caring hands which were a big hit with the kids. The adults liked the scones and... More

Cakes are seasonal, so they change periodically, but they are consistently awesome and delicious! They even have a gluten free option! Friendly service. Cash or check ONLY...no cards, so be prepared. Order your cake in advance to ensure that you get the one you want (they go fast). They're a bit pricey, but worth every cent!

Blackbird is an excellent bakery and well situated in the heart of Winslow. Their chocolate cream pie is to die for. One area of caution for the unsuspecting tourist is they don't take credit or debit cards. This is a little jarring in our customer centric world, and actually does keep some of us locals from dropping in more regularly.... More

Popped in here for a quick bite of lunch while visiting Bainbridge Island for the day. Lots of interesting choices, & great to find a vegetarian/vegan cafe. Soup was delicious & I wish I'd had room for one of their gorgeous looking sweet pastries! Staff were lovely, too.

A good stop for a bite to eat or to take dessert home for guests. They make a fine tiramisu cake - and the breakfast pastries are very good too.

A wonderful, quaint bakery! They also had vegan options which I especially appreciated! I had the vegan chocolate bread and it was to die for. They also make coffee, although their strength is all the baked goods.

Stopped here after the morning rush for coffee and scones. Both were made to perfection - vanilla latte and glazed raspberry orange scone. Timing for me was great and I was back out the door, in line for the ferry, and headed for the airport. The atmosphere was perfect: cool fall NW weather, a few locals in and out, and... More

I am really, really tired of this place. First of all, nothing has changed in all the years of its operation. Come on folks, try some new recipes. And the worst thing about it is the consistently awful service. To call it slow would be charitable. Many, if not most, places to eat on Bainbridge have long term employees. Not... More

We came here for a mid morning snack and had cappuccino and scones. My scone was a little on the dry side. It's a pretty casual place as evidenced by one of the employees who wore a wool pull down hat and seemed a little flustered trying to keep up with the orders. The most disappointing aspect was that you... More
