Whenever I am in Bainbridge I have to get at least one of these lovely cookies. There's usually a short line and there is a good reason why. Their baked goods are delicious.

The food is consistently fabulous! So many items to choose from. Good coffee. Good tea. Homemade granola. Efficient and charming staff. It's "the" place people go for a quick treat or linger with the paper or book. Seating outside if you want to enjoy your goodie in peace. The bakery is so popular it can be quite noisy at times.

We stopped here on a suggestion from locals as we just wanted to ride the ferry and had time to kill before the ferry back. The baked items were ok, not a great selection in mid afternoon. Cute atmosphere.

This was a spectacular bakery. We had cinnamon rolls, buns, quiche, gluten free poppy seed muffins, cookies, and gluten-free cookies. It was all wonderful so we went back 4 times during the week we were on Bainbridge Island. The gluten free items were just terrific. A place not to be missed.

We stayed at the campground and stopped for coffee and some food to take to the Bainbridge ferry (best one to take to downtown Seattle). The lady who took the order was very pleasant and friendly. There is a limited sandwich and salad menu in addition to the small selection of pastries. The Ham or Turkey Sandwiches sounded good, but... More

I was surprised to see something with just rhubarb in it. Not combined with strawberry or raspberry. Took it back to the hotel and wasn't impressed with the taste.

Wow! Great good and worth any wait. Loved the blueberry-rhubarb pie. Scones were earthy and sweet. Quiche best ever. Highly recommend.

Fabulous coffee but long lines and inadequate seating. Great small town location but not very patron friendly.

On a recent day trip to Bainbridge Island, we stopped at Blackbird Bakery after getting off of the ferry. The lattes complemented the delicious pecan sticky bun and savory tart we ate to start our day. Service was friendly. We will definitely return to try some of the other baked goods.

Locals love to meet up at "Blackbird". We've stopped for coffee and pastries a few times. Every time I swear 'never again'. They don't take credit cards, they don't serve decaf, they do serve a lot of fussy gluten-free and other items for people with special needs, and the service is a bit surly and arrogant. All-in-all, I feel like... More
