Better than expected!

My husband took me here for a late Valentine's Day brunch. I ordered what our server recommended, which was the caramel pecan french toast. She said it was famous on the Food Network. My husband ordered the fried chicken and waffles. I now see why the french toast is so famous. It was... read more

Met friends for lunch at Nola this past weekend while on Bainbridge Island. A friend who lives on the island recommended it. The food was ok, but for some reason I thought it was going to be much better. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't terrible but there are other places in the area for lunch that are much better... More

We wandered in after a bad experience at two other places nearby, starting to despair that the foodie talent couldn't survive across the Sound...until Nola's! Cioppino, crab, fish, chanterelles, shishito peppers, soups? All marvelous over the course of 3 lunches and two dinners. Servers professional and friendly too. This place should be #1 on Bainbridge Trip Advisor readers!

Within walking distance of the Bainbridge Ferry. Cozy, comfortable, wonderful staff. We wanted one of everything on the menu. The pecan French toast and roasted veggie sandwich were excellent...delicious!

We went over to Bainbridge Island on our recent visit to Seattle. Bainbridge is a cute, small island. We went to Café Nola for lunch. The service was great, we were well attended to by everyone working there. The food was really good and the white chocolate ice cream was great- the ice cream is made there on the island.

We visited there for dinner on the weekend of the Chili Hilly Bike race. The town was swamped but we had only a short waiting time to be seated. (We did make a reservation - highly recommend as the cafe is on the smallish side) Service was wonderful and we were not disappointed in the quality of the food. We... More

Our food was very good! Wish I could say as much for the service. Our server barely spoke, he was very aloof and actually appeared bothered that we were there.... When you spend $250.00 for dinner for four, you would typically expect just a bit more in the service department!

We have visited Cafe Nola about 6 times and never disappointed. Located on Winslow Way and Madison. Small outdoor dining area. Very nice service. Parking is on street. Nice wine list.

Host check in, friendly, patient, efficient. Took my husband's coat to hang it for him up front. Service was friendly, efficient, just enough attention. Food was good. We both ordered the Filet Mignon medium well and although a bit dry on the outside, it was good. We understand medium well is tricky but we have had better at Café Nola... More

The Cafe Nola is within easy walking distance from the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal so if you are coming from Seattle there is no need to bring your car. Simply walk on and walk off. You have to pay for a fare going to Bainbridge Island but the return trip is free. A word of caution: make sure that your... More
