After playing a round of golf we decided to try The Log House. Worse decision of the day! It was hot upstairs where we were seated. The server delivered our bread, took our order, and brought our salads. We didn't see her again until she brought our food about 45 minutes later; about 20 minutes after a group of four... More

We stopped here on the way to Virginia and my pork loin, salad and stuffed squash were great! Service was excellent. We had been here before a number of years ago and would come again.

This was close to a nearby B&B, and was recommended by one of the locals. We showed up very early and got right in. Very courteous service. I had chicken and my husband had steak. Both very good and reasonably priced. Since this was end of travel day, we ordered the Kentucky Derby Pie to go....so glad we did...it was... More

We usually eat here when we pass through on vacation--this time we had great service and very good food. The steak was cooked just right and the stuffed pork chops were right on. The very cool decor made the evening more than just a good place to eat. If you go, take a look at all the different dining areas--and... More

Our family spent the night in Wytheville, Virginia on our way to Charleston, South Carolina from Toledo, Ohio. The Log House was recommended by the manager of the Hampton Inn, where we were staying for the night. I must say from the outside, the appearance wasn't that appealing, but once we entered and learned the history and met the staff,... More

we were advised ahead of time to allow LOTS of time between courses, and that advice is best heeded. The stuffed squash was excellent!

We are used to come to VA to work. We are fron Spain and our feeling in this restaurant is as being american. Traditional, historic and really beautiful environment. The meat and the sword fish is 100% recommended

I have been eating at The Log House for close to 20 years and have always enjoyed the experience, if for no other reason, loved the vintage appeal. My husband and I ate there last week as we passed through Wytheville, a neighboring town. Our bread was stale, green beans inedible, and chicken medicore. The rice was good but only... More

We enjoyed a lovely dinner here as well as a nice glass of wine. Dinner was delicious. Stuffed squash is a must. Service is slow and not particularly attentive for a finer restaurant. Go out back after dinner and view the gardens as well as the gift shops....some unique offerings. Fun to browse.
