Great food, historic atmosphere and a super server added up to a lovely dining experience. Highly recommend the stuffed squash and the fried grits as your sides, they were extraordinary. The wine list is very nice and has selections for every taste and pocketbook. The only disappointment was the choice of music in the historic Christophers' bar when we stopped... More

We were passing through Wytheville and happened upon The Log House. What a discovery. Just the buildings alone are worth the visit. We had fresh vegetables and were happy to find them. If you go, be sure to look all around this historical building and read the information provided. The gift shops are not to be missed - even my... More

Service was good but food was mediocre, if that and overpriced. Would not go back again. We received better food at the Cracker Barrel.

We stopped by the Log Cabin on the last night of our vacation. Really cool place if you like history and a fantastic meal. LEEB got a 12 oz ribeye that was perfectly grilled and served on a hot skillet. I had the. 9 oz filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. Each one came with two choices of... More

We enjoyed our dinner, the food was good and the facility was surprising. Several steps up and then up some stairs to the second floor. Eclectic decorations but interesting. Good service with the wait staff and hostess. Food was good. Garden in the back was also interesting with doves and rabbits. Gift store had wide range of items.

The food was wonderful, coffee very good, atmosphere was so unique. So neat that you are invited to walk around this historic gem. Lovely gardens outside as well. Waiter was new, he could use a bit more training, but polite. I hope to go there again. Prices not too bad. Also loved the quilting store next door.

It was our 30th wedding anniversary and my husband wanted to eat at the Log House for the first time. We came for lunch and the place was packed. The lady and I use that lightly, told us it would be 15 minutes and to go to the gift shop and walked away. I walked on back to shop and... More

I make it a point to stop here if I'm anywhere close! Easy to find on the main road. The atmosphere is the best part, you have a cabin which has been around since, you guessed it 1776, then some newer parts. It feels intimate and like a special occasion each time I go! The decor is eclectic, almost a... More

My wife and I have dined around the world and this is the best meal I have ever had a fair price with outstanding service. Highly recommend this little gem.

Our table enjoyed their meal. I ordered grilled trout and it came out broiled. It was OK, but a little boring. The bread was nice. The service was excellent. They have maybe 6-10 beers to choose from. Very cool looking historic house. We tried stuffed mushroom, shrimp cocktail and corn fritters for apps. The mushrooms were the best. The fritters... More
