The restaurant was just across the street from the motel, so very close. The food was great, the portions were large, the staff was friendly & the décor was really cute. We'll go back again if were ever in this area!

I live locally and this is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is good and fresh, service is quick, and the wait staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant is always clean. I've never seen a dirty table or floors. As soon as guests leave tables are cleared and cleaned. Bathrooms are neat and clean as well. I would... More

Stopped here on out way to the beach with the kids. Service and food were very fast. My taco salad was pretty plain but fresh and tasted good. Hubby had fried chimis in an amazing white cheese sauce. We would for sure come back the next time we are in the neighborhood.

Stayed in Wytheville last week and we ate at this restaurant. Food was good and reasonable priced. Food was delivered promptly and tasted quite good.

The carnitas were outstanding! Had one margarita but switched to beer! I sat at the bar and had a good time with the staff for several hours! I would go back!

I have been twice. It is across the road from the hotel I stay in. Both times I had to flag down my server to get another drink after waiting for many minutes. The draft beer is very cold and the food decent.

From the stale chips, bad salsa, horrible margarita (tasted like plain ole mix) to the entree of chili relleno, (which was some browned hamburger with cheese on top) the whole experience was very unexceptional. When told about the chili relleno with no chili, we were told we should of ordered the poblano chili relleno. Live and learn. We will not... More

This is the third year we've dined at El Puerto. The food is excellent, prices are reasonable, service is great and the outside patio is nice.

Traveling solo, and when I walked in, the host greeted me with a monosyllabic "Hey." Despite the availability of tables outside, I was not offered one and was instead shown to a booth with water-stained ceiling tiles overhead. The salsa with the chips was terrible - seemed to be just pureed canned tomatoes. The one redeeming quality was that my... More

The service was very good, and seemed mostly clean enough. The food was decent but nothing spectacular. I was disappointed in the salsa, that was completely missing cilantro, so it was more like a bowl of crushed tomatoes. Also disappointing were the weak margaritas, that tasted like Country Time lemonade. The value was good however, for our family of 6,... More
