Great Recommendation

Asked at the hotel, as we usually do in an area we're unfamiliar with, for good places to eat. Joe's was the first choice of the two front desk clerks on duty. Must admit, I had visions of Logan's or Texas Roadhouse (not that there's anything wrong with those establishments). What a pleasant and... read more

Second visit to Joe's and it was just as good as the first. The decor is very attractive. The service staff very friendly and helpful. They were quite busy when we arrived, but we were seated promptly and had plenty of attention. Crab and shrimp appetizer was excellent. The steak - oh, the steak. We both ordered Joe's special 10... Traveling through Virginia we found this little gem through a recommendation of our hotel staff and were glad we did! My husband is not a steak eater so at first we weren't sure if there would be enough options for him, but the menu is quite extensive and he was completely satisfied. Joe's claims to use the highest quality of... More

What a great place. Very good food, relaxing atmosphere, wonderful staff.... We had the ribeye and crab cakes. Rib eye was excellent - this is steakhouse :) Crab cake good - a little too much pepper for my taste. Incredible homemade salad dressings. Good wine selection including several from the local vineyards. If we lived in the area, this would... More

My husband and I were in Woodstock for our Anniversary celebration - I had given him a hot air balloon ride that takes off in Woodstock. We needed to have an early dinner close by and found Joe's Steakhouse on the internet. We were warmly welcomed when we entered and were given our requested table at the front window. Our... More

After driving 7 hours from CT on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, my husband and I stopped in for dinner on the recommendation of the front desk at our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem in the historic district of Woodstock. We have stayed in Woodstock a number of times on our way to visit my... More

My Husband and I decided to check out Joe's Steakhouse for dinner. We both agreed it was just average. He ordered a steak and I order the haddock because everyone told us the steak and the seafood was outstanding, we thought though it was just average. However we were impressed with their beer prices, they were very reasonable for a... More

Pros: Staff was incredibly friendly. Cons: calimari was 25% calimari/75% vegetables. Wasn't until our salads until we got our napkins. They said they were waiting for clean ones but there were some sitting on empty table next to us. My m/rare was well done. My husband saw them clearing the table behind. Instead of exchanging the tablecloth they just turned... More

We visited this restaurant during a get away weekend. It is located in one of the small historic and well preserved towns of the Shenandoah Valley. The two story building has a balcony over the downstairs porch with a few tables for outside dining. The downstairs was already full when we arrived and were escorted upstairs. It was a little... This is a must stop in Woodstock. The service is amazing. Food is very good we had the soup and is quite tasty. Plus angry orchard on tap.
