Overall the service really almost pushes this to a 3 rating. Very friendly but really absent minded; and I would say not well trained. The waitress in taking away our wine glasses while talking to us repeatedly had her hand on the rim -- then was unable to tell us is she returned the same glasses...or clean ones! That said,... More

We had heard some not-so-great reviews from a couple of locals about Joe's in Woodstock. But, with few options in the Woodstock area, we decided to give it a try on a Tuesday night. In a word, our complete experience was excellent. Our server was very personable with great suggestions on both food and wine. She offered a tasting of... More

I went here for my birthday dinner. I liked the food...some of the best shrimp I have tasted and I love shrimp! The crabcakes were good as well. My only issue was there was hair on the tablecloth/linens near me and some more near where my guest was sitting. I made mention of this to the staff but nothing was... More

When Joe's first opened in Woodstock, the quality of the food was excellent. Then another Joe's Steak House was opened in Front Royal and then another in Winchester and now there is a rumor of another location on the horizon. Unfortunately, as the number of restaurants increased, the quality of the food here in Woodstock has decreased. This used to... More

Upon arrival at hotel, staff gave Joe's as a highly favorable choice. The hotel made a reservation for 6:30 p.m. At 7:45, my husband was still waiting for his second filet to be cooked. The first was sent out rare (supposed to be medium). The steak was recooked after husband complained and it was cooked where he cut but rare... More

Recommended by our hotel, we looked forward to a good meal. Waitress was sweet, (it was her first night). My husband and sister in law ordered filet mignon, medium. It was served borderline raw. It took my husband going into the kitchen to get waitress to come and take back. Half an hour later, dinners were returned, every bit as... More

This was my second visit to Joe's and I am happy to report they did not disappoint. Very quaint decor, EXCELLENT SERVICE thanks to Ashlee, delightful wine list and even more delightful steak dinner. Everything was timed perfectly and cooked just right. We will be back again.

I dropped my rental off in Woodstock and didn't want to fight Friday night traffic so I looked for a place to eat. I used Yelp to find a place and Joe's is on the busy main street (be careful of parking Nazis) and I called a head for a table. The place is amazing, black and white table linens,... More

I dined solo while in town for several days on business. My hotel, the Hampton Inn & Suites, recommended Joe's Steakhouse and I'm so glad I took their recommendation. The inside is quaint, with photos of Woodstock and the Shenandoah valley framed throughout the restaurant. I was seated immediately, although the restaurant had a good crowd for a Wednesday night.... Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of Tripadvisor and so glad we did. Sat outside and had a couple of very good beers and steak dinner. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. Waitress was very friendly and made us feel right at home. I would go out of my way to go back to this one.
