We stopped in for a break from antiquing one Saturday afternoon, we weren't too hungry, but we needed a break. We ordered French Onion soup and beverages. The soup was served in crocks with melted cheese and was tasty. Our waitress was very pleasant and the room was very rustic with low ceilings, wood floors and everything you would think... More

Pros- Friendly staff Clean Nice atmosphere Burgers Cons- Entrees were not good. Packaged food heated and placed on plates. Vegetables were burnt. Avocados were hard. Fish was what you get from frozen section of grocer. Overpriced. Fish tacos were $13+. The entree consisted of three tortillas with shredded lettuce, deep fried fish chunks, and ranch like dressing, with 1/4 cup... More

We visit Spring House every time we pass through Woodstock. Friendly staff, good food, a relaxing atmosphere and cold beer all at a fair price. We like to hang out in the Tavern room whenever possible. Wait staff is helpful and attentive. Burgers are awesome! If your staying overnight, ask your hotel staff for the local discount coupon. Every 10%... More

We stumbled across Spring House when looking for a quiet spot to grab a few beers and decompress from a long day of touristing. And we are so glad we did, while the bar area is quite small the service was excellent, beer selection was nice and an excellent value for the buck.

Went to this establishment for our 25th wedding anniversary.....big mistake..Jamie was rude and had no sense of urgency. We waited so long for everything and all we kept hearing was how busy it was,yet it did not appear to be busy. Our first cocktail was good the second did not taste up to par.Next came the food, our steak was med well... Stopped in on the advice of the desk clerk at our hotel, who also gave us a discount coupon for this and other restaurants in the area. First impression is rustic, small-town structure and decor. A bar and food area to the right of the front door, and more restaurant-style space to the left. The staff member who greeted us... More

While traveling about the Shenandoah Valley area in Virginia, we stopped for "Mothers Day" lunch at Spring House Tavern. The main room was comfortable and about what one would expect in such a place. Plenty of items to choose from on the menu. We started with chicken wings for an appetizer, which seemed to take quite awhile to arrive at... More

If you find yourself near Woodstock off I-81 in the Shenandoah Valley, you want to eat but you don't want to do one of the restaurants out by the interstate, drive into town and on the east side of Route 11 south of the Courthouse is the Spring House Tavern. This log-cabin-feeling little restaurant has a full menu, enthusiastic if... More

I stood in the front of the building for at least 10 minutes. I got several looks from employees but never greeting me or anything. I can't rate the food because I left due to being tired of not even getting acknowledged. I then left to go to Joe's Steakhouse and got greeted right away and led to a seat... More

Great bar food & some excellent main dishes. Ribs are outstanding. Made up of many small rooms and one larger dining room. Some rooms are always hot, some always cold so wear layers! We go often for a quick, good meal.
