Famous Ribs

Second time in the restaurant. Fairly priced and quick service. The ribs are always a good choice. There are two entrances, one for smoking and one for non. Parking can be a problem, but I walked from a local hotel.

We visited this restaurant on our way to Florida. We were tired and hungry and this place was a perfect place to unwind after a long day of driving. It was clean and the service was good. I had the shrimp scampi and it was one of the best I have had in a long time. My husband had the... More

Long a local favorite, we try to stop each year on our way south. It never disappoints. Hearty portions, great coleslaw, nice laid back scene.

Practical bar serving several draft beers and a simple food menu . Clearly popular with locals and always a good recommendation. T seemed to do what it does , well. Was cheerful , good service with a local musician who was trying hard. Hard to imagine much more you would want.

We ate here for the first time with friends recently for dinner. I loved the historic building and the staff was very friendly. It is in the Old Town area of Winchester so parking can be a challenge depending on when you go. We parked on the street and used a meter. They did have a patio area but it... More

Ate the BBQ Baby Back Rack of Ribs and hobo beans. It was delicious! The atmosphere was friendly and the building history was amazing! Def going back on next visit!

Stopped for what my girlfriend and I thought was going to be a quick dinner. However, two tables were served before we received our meal, which were just salads. Our hostess was very nice & brought our drinks over as our server, Katlin, was juggling tables & bar service. She was very efficient at multitasking, with a pleasant personality. Other... More

Took forever to get seated at noon on a Sunday, even though restaurant was empty. Took forever to get food. Took forever to get check. So, VERY slow service. And it's slow every time we go. The food is ok, depending on what you get. Burgers are good, moz sticks are good, chicken wrap not so much. Hit or miss... More

Anthony, we our very sorry to hear that your visit resulted in poor service as that is the sole reason we are here. We are glad to hear some of the food was to your liking but we certainly aim for more than average. We hope that next time we will be well above that mark. More

We stopped in for lunch. Wife had a burger and I had the Turkey, Bacon and Swiss. Both enjoyed with the bar chips. Craft beers were good. Small room so your conversation is a part of the room. Offers a smoking side and a non-smoking side so everyone should be happy. Neat history of establishment on the menu. Would return.

Food was pretty good - wife's burger was good, mozzarella sticks were very nice and the fish and chips were good. Service started out pretty poorly - less than enthusiastic server but she did pick it up. Asked for the happy hour but it only applied to bottled beer and glasses of wine - that really seems weird to me... More

Thanks for letting us know about your visit! I'm glad you enjoyed the food but I am sorry you weren't happy with the beer. The only thing I can figure is maybe you were served a pint glass instead of the tall as our glasses actually hold 22oz? Let me know the next time you are in and I will... More
