Famous Ribs

Second time in the restaurant. Fairly priced and quick service. The ribs are always a good choice. There are two entrances, one for smoking and one for non. Parking can be a problem, but I walked from a local hotel.

Lived in Winchester for many years and visited the cork st tavern before moving. Really loved, but came back at Christmas this year and was not impressed. I had the Grilled Chicken salad, the chicken was so over cooked I couldn't chew it. Really tough. Rest of salad was ok, but no hard boiled eggs as they were out. Go... More

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your experience though we are sorry it was quite up to the standard we would like to offer all of our guests. We have had a real problem with eggs and our distributor due to the avian flu and are working with them to find a substitution but we are... More

Seriously, this is a local place. So if you are the kind of person that just wants a real feel for a pub in town, this is it. Be careful, one door is the smoking bar and the other is non-smoking. Apparently they are grandfathered. Great pub food, staff is really nice if you get them to open up and... More

Michael, Thanks for taking the time to review and let us know about your experience! Parking is definitely a little bit of a burden downtown especially on busier nights or event nights. We hope to see you again any time you may travel through the area! More

We visited this restaurant on our way to Florida. We were tired and hungry and this place was a perfect place to unwind after a long day of driving. It was clean and the service was good. I had the shrimp scampi and it was one of the best I have had in a long time. My husband had the... More

Long a local favorite, we try to stop each year on our way south. It never disappoints. Hearty portions, great coleslaw, nice laid back scene.

We're glad to be a stop on your trip south and hope to continue to see you! The cole slaw is an item we have tinkered with a lot and I think we finally have a product we're all happy with and the customers also enjoy so it's great to hear the same from you! Cheers! More

Practical bar serving several draft beers and a simple food menu . Clearly popular with locals and always a good recommendation. T seemed to do what it does , well. Was cheerful , good service with a local musician who was trying hard. Hard to imagine much more you would want.

We ate here for the first time with friends recently for dinner. I loved the historic building and the staff was very friendly. It is in the Old Town area of Winchester so parking can be a challenge depending on when you go. We parked on the street and used a meter. They did have a patio area but it... More

Thanks for taking the time to leave us some feed back! We are very glad you enjoyed the ribs as much as you did and are glad to have you back on the East coast if only just visiting! Stopped for what my girlfriend and I thought was going to be a quick dinner. However, two tables were served before we received our meal, which were just salads. Our hostess was very nice & brought our drinks over as our server, Katlin, was juggling tables & bar service. She was very efficient at multitasking, with a pleasant personality. Other... More
