We stopped in after walking around downtown on a Saturday morning/afternoon. We were seated inside bc there were about 12 of us. From the outside the restaurant seemed fun and up beat but once inside it was much more formal and stuffy. Food was priced decently until you saw the small portions. Food was ok but just was not what... More

We celebrated our 45th wedding Anniversary dining on the Mallon a warm late Deptember evening. The waiter was personable and our dinner was very good. My wife had the Salmon and it looked good. I cannot recal what I ordered so it could not have been memorable. Oh now I remember the Scalops. They were good but I can do... More

My husband and I decided to come here for our anniversary dinner. WHAT A WASTE!! Highlights: Key Lime Martini (though they gave me a chipped glass and rotten lime) Live Piano playing Everything else....BAD!! For starters MD Crab/Corn Chowder was canned corn chowder with a hint of crab. When the #1 main taste is canned corn you know its subpar.... More

I was in town for one night and looked for one of the nicer outdoor cafe restaurants on the pedestrian mall. I had the Grilled Pear and Caramelized Onion flatbread and it was fabulous! I enjoyed dining in the open air and found my waitress to be very pleasant.

One of the more expensive restaurants in town, and in favor by many for business lunches and dinner. I wish they served more side dishes with the main courses, everything besides the meat seems more decoration than anything else. If I have to summarize it: good food, decent service, price on the high end for what you get.

Having just moved to the Winchester area last Fall, we have been anxious to try the various restaurants. We had walked past the Village Square restaurant several times while walking the Loudon St. walking mall and it appeared to be attractive. It has a nice outdoor seating area, and several quaint small rooms just beyond the bar area. We made... More

Nice interior organized into separate dining areas. We sat in a cosy booth - plenty of room for the 3 of us. Decor in keeping with Winchester's historic town centre. Great food, though a little pricey. Reasonably quick service. Very attentive staff. We felt relaxed and satisfied with a good meal.

I hosted a customer (cattleman) for dinner. We both ordered filet medium rare. Both steak came out Medium well. The customer asked the waiter to bring us one filet and said that we would just split that steak. 20 minutes later, the waiter brought the steak and they had butterflied the filet and cooked it well done. I could not... More

The sandwiches were very good but nothing special to stick in my mind. They offered types of beer we have never had before so it was fun trying something new. The inside is too upscale for me (bunch of separate little dining areas) so we ate on the patio and watched the people walking on the mall. Like I said,... More

My family and I met at this restaurant for Easter brunch. We were a party of eight - everyone loved their food! I had the sirloin oscar which was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! The service was very good, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the chairs were very comfortable. We will definitely be coming back here for more meals.
