Excellent Date

My wife told me about this place. I was leery because I really do not like to try new places. It is a fresh farm to restaurant places which made me nervous. We had oysters on the half shell for the first time ever. The waiter gave us some bread with an olive spread and roasted garlic. We had... read more

Wife had 4 oz filet which was cooked the way she wanted it. Price was the most expensive we have experienced, and after traveling around the world over the past 5 years, is saying something. I had the T Bone that I would qualify as a "cowboy steak" which was a cheap cut but priced as if it was an... More

Husband and I stopped here for the third time on our way to visit family. Each time our dining experience has degraded. This last time we waited nearly an hour for our food, the blues music was way too loud & when we asked if they could turn it down, the waitress smirked and did nothing. The place was nearly... More

Sorry. I hate to do a negative review, but what a disappointment. The place is small and nothing fancy. My husband's porterhouse steak was thin, a bit overcooked, and lacked seasoning - $35. My jumbo lump crab cake had very few, not-so-jumbo lumps. Not all that, (but I'm from Baltimore, so I'm used to good crab cakes). Potato gratin was... More

After reading the review we expected a great steak house. We walked in and there were 8 tables and 1 larger table. I felt like I was eating in a deli. Limited menu and steaks were very over priced. However, while not seasoned they did have a good flavor. More home style cooking food. Unisex bathroom, did not care for... More

My husband, son and I had a wonderful dinner at The Butcher Station! We ordered the porterhouse (I shared with my son). The steaks were perfect and the sides were worthy of such great cuts of meat: kale, scalloped potatoes and carrots. Fries were tasty but not very crisp. Desserts were so delicious we tried them all. The salted caramel... More

This could not have been better. Superb ingredients, cooked to perfection. On top of that, quite reasonable prices. We'll be back.

We went to Butcher Station while passing through Winchester Va and were somewhat disappointed in the hype. The steak was good but limited to one kind of cut for the day. The Hamburger was OK and an upgrade from a fast food chain. The restaurant was empty and the service was slow due to having only one waitress for the... More

I always say; "If I reserve the right to complain, then I should also commend." This place is tucked away in the back of Creekside which means, out of site out of mind. But, I have eaten here numerous times and I'm never disappointed. The owner is a Chef/Catering expert that owns the restaurant and is one of the most... More

Hamburgers did not come as ordered. Roast beef was way too rare , very different coleslaw and soup was lacking. High price for the taste of food and I'm sure one is paying for it being local. French fries were good. 4 people no one satisfied. I would recommend tweaking the slaw and soup recipes and making thinner burgers so... More
