Waste of Money.

Sorry. I hate to do a negative review, but what a disappointment. The place is small and nothing fancy. My husband's porterhouse steak was thin, a bit overcooked, and lacked seasoning - $35. My jumbo lump crab cake had very few, not-so-jumbo lumps. Not all that, (but I'm from Baltimore, so I'm... read more

After reading the review we expected a great steak house. We walked in and there were 8 tables and 1 larger table. I felt like I was eating in a deli. Limited menu and steaks were very over priced. However, while not seasoned they did have a good flavor. More home style cooking food. Unisex bathroom, did not care for... More

My husband, son and I had a wonderful dinner at The Butcher Station! We ordered the porterhouse (I shared with my son). The steaks were perfect and the sides were worthy of such great cuts of meat: kale, scalloped potatoes and carrots. Fries were tasty but not very crisp. Desserts were so delicious we tried them all. The salted caramel... More

This could not have been better. Superb ingredients, cooked to perfection. On top of that, quite reasonable prices. We'll be back.

We went to Butcher Station while passing through Winchester Va and were somewhat disappointed in the hype. The steak was good but limited to one kind of cut for the day. The Hamburger was OK and an upgrade from a fast food chain. The restaurant was empty and the service was slow due to having only one waitress for the... More

I always say; "If I reserve the right to complain, then I should also commend." This place is tucked away in the back of Creekside which means, out of site out of mind. But, I have eaten here numerous times and I'm never disappointed. The owner is a Chef/Catering expert that owns the restaurant and is one of the most... More

Hamburgers did not come as ordered. Roast beef was way too rare , very different coleslaw and soup was lacking. High price for the taste of food and I'm sure one is paying for it being local. French fries were good. 4 people no one satisfied. I would recommend tweaking the slaw and soup recipes and making thinner burgers so... More

Really, really disappointing all the way around. Based on the reviews on TA, we went in on a Friday night. Service was slow, and there weren't that many people in the restaurant. The food was poorly prepared- one of our meals was ordered medium rare and came well done. Others in our party were served food that was lukewarm. They... More

I loved that this restaurant listed where they got their meats, cheeses and veggies from. .... and all local farms! The food was presented well and was fresh and flavorful! I had a crepe and my husband had the beef stew both excellent! They had a local hard cider from winchester which was great. Lots of variety of good even... More

Friend and I were looking for dinner while attending the Shenandoah Fiber Festival. She found this restaurant on her phone www and we decided to try. We were seated right away and glad we had arrived before the tables rapidly filled. Fresh food. Good selection of local foods and wines. Server knowledgeable. Have to know where it is - unseen...
