Very near our motel so we tried it. Not a mistake. Looks like it used to be maybe a Bonanza Steakhouse or something similar and they refurbished the interior into a plastic Italian theme. That didn't work but the food was awesome. Wife had standard spaghetti/meatballs and I the special Ravioli with grilled chicken and a creamy garlic sauce......yummy and... More

I had a delightful fettuccini alfredo. The wait staff was excellent. The dinner came with both a salad and breadsticks and was very reasonably priced.

It was my first time there, didn't like the reception to begging with, I asked if the highchair for babies would feet the baby car seat and the owner's answer was "how am I going to know" . After we ordered the food to split the portion since our friend knew that their portions are pretty big (a waste) in... More

My husband is very particular about Italian food (his favorite). So, we are usually cautious about Italian restaurants. We were on vacation, tired, and hungry and this place was recommended by the desk clerk at the hotel. The restaurant itself was not warm and cozy. . . quite the opposite. . . all white, and the tile floor didn't help... More

There is nothing particularly atmospheric about this little restaurant, occupying a roadside lot near the intersection of highways 522 and 37 on Winchester's northwest side...except maybe the accordion player on weekends. Don't come here for the atmosphere. But, if you like good Italian food, served efficiently by friendly wait staff, overseen by the owner at very reasonable prices, this is... More

This was Italian Food at its worst...dumbed down, super large servings and all the salads had iceberg lettuce as its only green component. Really, iceberg in a Greek Salad? Or in house salad? The portions are so HUGE I left 3/4 of it on my plate and it was a gooey cheesy mess at best. Would never ever go back.

Been by here hundreds of times - finally went with a party of six. Started with a margarita pizza that was quite nice. All had different entrees and all were very good. Wife had a Stromboli that was excellent. Reasonably priced and nice atmosphere - nothing real fancy but comfortable. Don't eat Italian out much but would return here. Service... More

Pulled into the Holiday Inn Express after 8 pm and assumed it would be Arbys and convenience store beer. The desk clerk directed me to Venice Italian Restaurant. Pulled up and saw the Ponderosa exterior but went in anyway. Found a nice decor with friendly attentive wait staff. Only ordered 2 appetizers; Caprese Salad and Peppers and Sausage Marinara. Salad... Have eaten at Venice Italian Restaurant many times, as we frequent that area often. We have never been disappointed in the food, or the service. Their Italian entrees are "spot on", and their pizza is plentiful and filling. Many times, we have gone there with a group as high as 10 people, and everyone is served at the same time,... More

Driving thru Virginia and wanted Italian food. This place was close do we tried it. Very good food, added it to my favorites on GPS, and definitely will stop there again if I am driving thru.
