We ate on the patio of Union Jack on a Thursday evening in June. Out waiter was wonderful and provided great service as well as good advice on the menu. I had the wonderful burger with bacon and cheddar and my daughter had the club sandwich. I recommend both. The drinks were cold and well made. The place was full,... More

We were overnighting in this town en route to another location and found this pub on the pedestrian mall. We sat outside in the pleasant weather and had pretty good service. There were a few problems: 1. Four of the beers on tap we chose from the current tap listing were out (one after another--chose them one at a time);... More

So, this is a pub. The beer selection is great and the atmosphere is pretty nice. There's even outdoor dining. Being a pub, the burgers and fries are pretty good and generously portioned. But alas, I was over-adventurous and ordered the duck. I've had duck before, and I love rice and veggies so I was pretty confident. However when this... More

Beautiful restored property in Old Town. Indoor/outdoor seating. Three large menus food/beer/wine. Their featured fare, of course, is Fish and Chips. Being different, we got the Maryland crab cakes and were not disappointed. Put this on your to do list if ever in Winchester!

We found this pub while traveling through Virginia. What a pleasant surprise. The bartender took care of us right away. The meals were cooked to perfection. The pints of Guinness were poured as they should be. All in all, a great pub located in the middle of a very beautiful town.

My husband and I spent a day in Winchester and are so glad we stopped at the Union Jack Pub. Food was plentiful and delicious. We both had the fish and chips and would highly recommend it. Atmosphere was terrific and the price was even better. Will definitely go back!

Stopped in on a Saturday night, and we were able to get four seats at the bar. They have a very good selection of beers and the bartender was very knowledgable about the beers. We ordered a couple of "flights" which included only four beers per flight. I like to see six beers per flight, and the flights cost $13.00,... More

The food was not good, the service was less than average, and the prices are way too high, especially compared to what you receive and the quality. The one cool thing this location has going for it is the building....and that's all!!

This place was crowded, but the 18 or 20 of us waited at the bar. They quickly got us a table and then we ordered. Every one seemed to enjoy their food, but I was the only one that had "Bangers and Mash", lamb bangers fantastic and the mash were very good. The fish and chips got a good report.... More

A Friday night visit to Union Jack turned out to be absolute fun! First, you have the very cool looking building, both inside and out. The ambiance inside was delightful. Excellent service was provided by a very good staff as well. We selected some wine for the three of us that were hanging, and a few appetizer plates that offered... More
