This restaurant is located in the historic ‘walking’ mall, which consists of two closed off blocks with many restaurants with side-walk seating. This one caught our eye as we walked past because the Fish and Chips looked great. We weren’t disappointed, food was great. While we had the Fish and Chips the menu offered a nice variety. We sat inside... More

I only had time to visit one restaurant while passing through town on a long trip. I am so glad I chose Union Jack Pub! What drew me were the English items on the menu, plus the historical ambiance. The staff there was friendly, welcoming, attentive, and eager to please. I had a delicious Shepherd's Pie, and Greens Salad with... More

Needing a quick bite to eat and being one who loves British food, we tried this place out. The food was good (I had the Yorkshire Pudding and the Shepherd's Pie) and the portion sizes were very reasonable. Left satisfied, neither hungry nor full. Service was prompt and friendly. My two complaints were about the beer menu: 1) it was... More

It's all about atmosphere and great tasting food, you'll find both here.. Stop by in the afternoon for a quick burger or in the evening for a meal with friends or family. Four and one half stars..

This restaurant is a refreshing change to the many franchises and ethnic choices in Winchester. We had the Fish and Chips and the Shepherd's Pie and they were both delicious! We haven't had such god and authentic English Pub food since our visit to the UK. Add to this - a cozy, friendly and buzzing pub atmosphere and the lovely... More

As I'm new to town, this is one of the first places we tried, and I'm glad. We sat outside, surrounded by friendly people and some cute dogs! Our server was great, friendly and helpful. I got a burger with mushrooms and blue cheese sauce I believe, very very good. Boyfriend enjoyed his food as well. I didn't go inside,... More

We were staying at the Hampton Inn and asked about suggestions for dinner. This is one of several places recommended to us. The location is downtown historic Winchester on a street that has been blocked out for pedestrian traffic only. So you park your car and then take a nice relaxing stroll down this street lined with little shops and... More

I love Prime Rib Sandwiches, there is just something about dipping it in the Au Jus that just makes the flavors come together. The Prime Rib Sandwich from here did not disappoint. The meat was tender, cooked just right, on a warm bun, I did opt to have the horseradish cream on the side. French Fries came as the side,... More

I'm new to craft beers and visiting Union Jack was my FIRST real introduction to craft beers. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The atmosphere was awesome as well. I'm not sure how the food was as I did not eat but it smelled yummy and what I saw was very well presented. I'm giving this a "very good"... More

Solid pub food but go there for the beer selection. Large variety of beers on tap that are constantly rotating as kegs are kicked and knowledgable service for the difficult beverage choices.
