Shelter in the storm

The alamo drafthouse deserves a 5 on this visit. During a recent snow storm we were staying at a nearby hotel. Literally every restaurant was closed due to weather, but the hotel recommended the Alamo. There were 7 of us. Our waiter was very attentive, even though they were short ataffed from the... read more

I have now been there over a dozen times. Two times we were turned back because they were sold out. BOTH times I called before and they never answered the phone. It goes to voice mail and they do not call back. That sucks as I had to drive an hour each way with my 96 year old Father. "Fury"... More

The 4-star rating reflects the overall experience, though the food is just average. We enjoy Alamo because of the "package" - dinner and a movie all at the same time. Some of the seats are bit worn, but fairly comfortable. The food is good (but not necessarily great), and service is good. As others have said, it is a bit... More

My friend and I saw "The Judge" and shared nachos with cheese. We had great seats, and could see well and hear well. We were comfortable with the temperature, and the theatre was clean and nice. The service was good, and the people around us were quiet during the movie, which always makes it more pleasant to be at the... More

Hey, you get meals while watching a movie. Have to learn which food selections are good and which are just siphoning money from your wallet. Sometimes there are seasonal deals for certain dishes to be half off. Bottom line, expect a single movie viewing to cost you at least $30+ dollars. That adds up quick if you love going to... More

We saw a movie and had a good meal. My husband's only complaint was that we got the food after the movie started and he couldn't see what he was eating :)

My husband and I went here for his birthday. It was our first time. The server made us feel welcome and explained everything. He was a lot of fun. We had a great time. The burgers were overcooked, but the onion rings and cookies were great. My husband didn't get his free dessert as promise, but all over we had... More

Tickets and dinner were included as part of a Living Social deal. It was fun to have dinner served to you as you were watching the movie. Interesting idea. Service was nice--not perfect but I wasn't expecting it to be. Definitely worth a visit.

The Alamo brings dinner and movie to a whole new level. Overall the experience was pretty cool in having dinner serve plus beer served to you during a movie. The food however, was average and a little pricey. The service there was really slow. I order a burger and fries, the burger did not come with ketchup and I thought... More

We have watched numerous movies at the Alamo and always get either food, popcorn, and/or warm cookies. The food is good and served quickly. I would recommend this theatre over an "average" theatre in the area.
