We had breakfast here while staying at the George Washington Hotel. It is convenient for guests. The decor is very pretty, but it was very cold in the restaurant (granted, it was quite cold outside, but still!). The food was good, but not as good as the price would have you expect. Nothing out of the ordinary, but there are... More

room decor is a bit disappointing but this is more than made up for by great staff and great food. We enjoyed the first night so much we went back a second time! The Crab cakes, the Fish and chips and the burgers were all excelllent. Shame they didnt have more Virginian Wines on offer but those they did have... More

I had breakfast and lunch at The Dancing Goat during my stay at The George Washington Hotel. The restaurant is located in the basement of the hotel with street access. My friend had the peanut soup and I had the oyster soup which were both very good. We shared the club sandwich with homemade fries. I do not recommend ordering... More

I had a lunch and a breakfast at the Dancing Goat (love the name) during a recent stay at the George Washington Hotel. The breakfast was better than the lunch. Prices were reasonable for both and it is very convenient for hotel guests. The wine by the glass list was not great. If I stayed at the George Washington again,... More

Tried this place out for the first time, and it will be the last. We both opted for steak with lobster tails added on. Should have put that money into more wine! Lobster was inedibly rubbery, like trying to eat raw squid. My steak was the fattiest cut of meat I've ever seen. If you like salted fat, by all... More

We were on the road for Easter and had looked ahead of time for somewhere to eat our traditional Easter brunch. The price was on the higher end of what we usually pay, but the food was very good and the atmosphere was nice. A little confusing in that we walked through the restaurant, below the hotel where no one... More

Stayed at the George Washington Hotel (highly recommended) and had breakfast at their restaurant, the Dancing Goat. I should have paid more attention to other's negative comments. The buffet was horrible. Scrambled eggs were cold and hard, bacon was not cooked and the french toast was the texture of a crouton. I spoke to the restaurant manager and he promptly... More

Had Sunday brunch. Food was not in line with the price charged. McDonalds would have been better! Just nothing else to say!

Basic menu. My oatmeal was bland without the brown sugar. Very ordinary fruit plate. Had to ask for water- not refills mind you but if you're going to put water glasses on the table, you should fill them when the guests a seated. Homefries are ice cold. If no one at the table ate their home fries, I would think... More
