It's now George's; food is ok; service is ok

It was our first trip to the "new" restaurant--no longer The Dancing Goat, but George's. The menu is rather limited and not what I would consider "upscale." It is more "typical" hotel food. I had the salmon and it was ok. They made mistakes with the side orders--their supply of the listed ones... read more

The hotel was wonderful, the restaurant so so. We had a great server but the food just ok. Just regular food. With the, number of choices of restaurants in town, you might want to consider other options.

I have been here three times since the conversion. The first two times we had very nice food that was fairly priced. Server attention was good but the wait for food was long. The last time was today (May 11) for lunch. There was only one server (who was very good) and she was slammed! No manager in sight or... More

Nice atmoshere, friendly staff although they were a little sluggish. Very clean, set up nicely. Breakfast was wonderful, food was tasty. Apparently there were issues in the past and they claim they have changed it all up. I have never been there so I don't know what it was like prior to my visit.

Our second visit the first one being almost a year ago for lunch which we enjoyed. The service was ok as it was last year. The food needs work. We had a couple of burgers which were overcooked and dry. My salmon however was very well made. My family didn't say anything because they thought it would take too long... More

Breakfast buffet was wonderful. The pastries were light, flaky and fresh. There was enough cheese in the eggs to make the scrambled eggs worth eating. Not the run-of-the mill seasoning for sure. Not watered down juices either.

My wife and I had breakfast here mainly because it was the only place open that early. We both ordered the traditional eggs benedict and they were both poor. The English muffin was stale and not toasted, and my eggs was overcooked. Nice enough décor, poor food.

Renamed "George's", this restaurant in the George Washington Hotel is a low-key, attractive atmosphere with out-of-this-world, top quality food at VERY reasonable prices. The George's salad was a very good size with fresh greens. The short ribs of beef were incredible and the service was friendly. Fabulous, fine food at moderate, prices you won't believe in a relaxed atmosphere.

This was terrible! We live in WInchester and decided to try out this new restaurant in the very nice George Washington Hotel. The prior restaurants here have been terrible and this one continues the tradition. We decided to start with appetizers and if they were good, go ahead and have dinner. We definitely did not get that far. There was... More

To begin withy, this restaurant has been transformed and is now "George's". The Dancing Goat is no more. George's in under new management, and they are trying to create a new persona to match the quality of the hotel. I believe, with the exception of a few minor issues that need to be worked out, it will be a successful... More
